House 2 House Productions is the name of the creative outlet for its proprietor and founder daz disko, a thirty something DJ from Solihull near Birmingham in the UK. It was set-up in 1992 initially to cover his DJ activities however, more recently his concentration has focused towards the music production of beefier funky house sounds rather than just simply playing other artist's tracks out.
The vision for H2Hp is to create a brand that specialises and maintains the niche style of the more tougher and the chunkier house sounds. This remit is broad as H2Hp does not want to be restricted by any one specific house genre or style however the tendancy is to focus on UK house but crossing over into French/Italian house styles also. Therefore, the H2Hp mission is simplistic one to provide our interpretation of chunky house music that hopefully will keep your head noddin!
To allow us to acheive our mission we have utilised the myspace service as a communication aid between ourselves and our potential target audience. Via this site we will be providing at very our own "in-house" trax via the self-contained myspace player and we will be also provding our latest mix compilations containing the latest beefy/chunky trax via our Mixology section below. We aim to add a blog and artist profiles later on in the year once we have worked out the CSS code to display in a presentable way that is easy on the eye.

H2Hp - Preserving the UK's Beef

The H2Hp sound is not just a simple classification of what we call Chunky, Beefed up cutz of UK (with a twist of french or italian) funkied house but house music with a certain Je nais se quoi that enables an individual to experience positive reinforcement about themselves or their environment
We beleive that this certain Je nais se quoi element is derriven not from any one single component but the combination of all components of a track in which it was produced that then gives its "vibe", "energy", "soul", "funk" or "beef".
The H2Hp mission is simply to provide "head noddin music". The nodding of the head is to give signal by lowering and then raising the head quickly in order to show agreement or recognition that what is being heard [in a music context] is pleasurable and is being enjoyed. Head Noddin music is not confined to just clubs but can be experienced at any time, at any place, in any given situation.
Tommy Vance once had a jingle on his legendary Radio 1 Friday Rock show that stated "..if it moves then funk it!". No truer word spoken as we beleive that one of the many elements that make house music so special, sometimes igenious, is when DJ's and producers are able to fuse sounds together from various other musical styles and progress house music forward into completely new directions.
The House 2 House Productions sound draws influence from a wide and diverse range of different musical styles and tastes, just too many to mention, but as long we feel it moves and we can keep it funky these are the only boundaries that we will work to.
