The Conquistadors are the production/DJ team of DJ Angelo Pepe and JT Cassarino. Their music, as well a their DJ sets can not be compared or characterized to nothing out there!
Dj sets run the gamut from Afro-Latin to Funky House to Deep Progressive House music, and everything in between.
The Conquistadors original music and remix work is hi-energy big room sound that follows no stereotype of today’s dance music and is sure to make heads bop and bodies moving!
Both their DJ sets and particularly their original production are heavily influenced by Boney M, Duran Duran, Dr Kutzo, Jr. Jack, Depeche Mode, and 70’s disco, 80’s new wave as well as Brazilian rhythms and Giorgio Moroder melodies.
DJ Angelo Pepe has been a Club & Radio DJ since 1992and has provided tunes for fashion shows, private parties, Clubs and lounges, primarily in his native Greece, and for the last couple of years, in New York as well. He is currently working with dancefloor veteran Bill Coleman @ Peace Bisquit. Clients include Ultra Nate’, Chris Willis, producers GoodandEvil and many more.
JT Cassarino started his career in 1996 , interning @ 8Ball Records Studios, and has been producing music ever since. While working with Brian Paste under the moniker “Sunshine & Babycakes” , their single “Bringing It Back” was picked up by U.K. label SOUNDS UNIQUE. Cassarino has independently pressed various white labels including the funky latin tinged “Paz Vega/P. Cruz” EP, and has been DJing various lounges and private parties around the NY metro area. Last but not least, Cassarino was featured in December 2005’s issue of iDJ Magazine’s Reader’s Mix section.
JT Cassarino & DJ Angelo Pepe began their musical journey in the summer of 2003. Starting out as neighbors they quickly became friends and soon after reemerged as a deadly DJ & Production team known today as The CONQUISTADORS. Collectively, The CONQUISTADORS have DJed in Greece, New York and South America playing to diverse crowds ranging from small intimate affairs to 3,000+ . WHAT!
