About House of Cosy Cushions

House of Cosy Cushions was formed by songwriter Richard Bolhuis in Amsterdam in 2003. When he moved to Dublin Sea Dog Records released the E.P. 'Palace for the Lost Ones.' The E.P. includes an enhanced animation short filmed on the Ship of Fools (see below). House of Cosy Cushions' current permanent members are Richard singing and playing guitar, Stephen 'Snake' Kiernan on drums (also designer for our albums), Rossa O'Neill howling on trombone and Rob Campbell on bass. An extended family of guests and core players drift in and out. New album 'Animal Dream' will be released in autumn 2008.
