The story of House Of Krazees begins in 1992 with Bryan (The R.O.C.), who was working on a project with his cousin called "Strength Productions". Bryan, going by The ROC, and his cousin, going by Big Father Hightop; released "Rollin' With Strength" produced by Detroit legend, Esham. The album would be the first and last album recorded by the two.
Two childhood friends of ROC, Jamie Spaniolo (Big J) and Paul Methric (E.X.P.), decided to try their hand at rapping and enlisted ROC to do beats and appear as a guest for their first album. The group, which at the time was unnamed, took a fateful trip to a local video store with ROC. There they would come across an old horror movie entitled "The House Of Crazies", it was then at that moment they decided that would be the perfect name for the group, of course with a minor change or two. During recording for the newly-named "House Of Krazees" first album, Jamie and Paul had recorded several tracks with guestspots from ROC. The few tracks ended up turning into a full-length album's worth of material, and they then decided that ROC fit in so well with them that they told him he should quit the other group and do House Of Krazees full time. All that was needed now was a financier and a place that would produce the album, they would find a financier in a man named Walter Stephanenko, who had played the lottery in the same store Bryan worked at, and who the trio had borrowed money from to record. Walter had grown tired of loaning money to the trio and decided he wanted in on what they were doing with the money he was giving them. Walter had then told the trio he knew alot about the music business and quite frankly, didn't know shit (they would later figure this out on their own and break off from him), and in 1993, House Of Krazees' debut album "Home Sweet Home" was published by Asylum Productions. Shortly after the release of this album, Walter would cease the funding of House Of Krazees for reasons unknown, even though its speculated to have occured after an argument with Mr. Bones.
In Early 1994, The House Of Krazees released "Homebound", which was produced and financed by Scott Chapman of The Disc, who had also produced House Of Krazees' previous release. Alot of things changed during the making/releasing of "Homebound", it was slated to have come out on "Mazz Muzik" and titled "The Return Of The Mad Men". But decisions changed, and they settled on "Homebound", released on "RetroHorrorMuzik", and 2 members of House Of Krazees would change their aliases; Big J to Mr. Bones and E.X.P. to Hektic. House Of Krazees also toured with the legendary Esham promoting this album.
Also by this time, House Of Krazees-member Mr. Bones, had released a solo album of sorts in the form of a maxi-single. It was called "The Demon Inside" which featured his crew at the time, The Sons Of Midnight (Looney Toon, Dark Angel & DeathLock), which he released on his own "record label", Skeleton Records.
Later on in 1994, House Of Krazees released the original version of "Season Of The Pumpkin", which contains samples in the songs "Horror Story", "Unconscious", "Drug Addict", and the uncensored version of "Shouts" which are not included on the re-release the following year. This, like previous tapes, was released on House Of Krazees' independent label, RetroHorrorMuzik. This was also the year House Of Krazees did some tracks with a local group by the name of 2 Krazy Devils, the 2 Krazy Devils consisted of Krazie (Skrapz Of Halfbreed/Level Jumpers) and Psycho-C (Blaze Ya Dead Homie), who had just released their own CD "Flipped Insanity". House Of Krazees are on the tracks "Back 2 Our Gravez", and ROC is also on "Lettin You Know", a track that would later be on the "Outbreed EP" minus the 2 Krazy Devils.
1995, They re-released "Season Of The Pumpkin" on Latnem Entertainment, owned by Walter, whom they had reunited with shortly before this was released. It is argued this album, in either release, is their best work to date. Also in 1995, Mr. Bones released his second solo effort entitled "Sacrifice", on Brain Dead Records in the spring of 1995. This was his one and only TRUE solo release to date and the House Of Krazees would release their next album of all brand new material, entitled "Outbreed EP", which was a change of style for House Of Krazees. This album had gone with more rap skills and hip hop beats rather then the dark horror music they were accustomed to on the first few albums. Which didn't fly well with the already established fanbase of the House Of Krazees, and the album didn't do quite as well as previous releases. On a small tour, a young rapper named Eminem, who had been hanging around in the studio with the House Of Krazees on recent sessions, would open up for them on a couple of shows. Eminem was doing shows in support of his first LP entitled "Infinite" on Web Entertainment. On "Season Of The Pumpkin", the ROC gave a shout out to Champtown, Eminem's former protégé. Eminem would remain friends with House Of Krazees for years, but that friendship would later fade out.
ROC would later become the second House Of Krazees-member to release a solo album, his being entitled "X-Posed", which featured House Of Krazees on the song "Intro To My Click", Mr. Bones on the song "Outrage", and many other Detroit-area rappers who had a history with House Of Krazees. Mr. Bones would also do the cover for this album.
1996 though, was the year of big changes. House of Krazees released "Head Trauma" in late spring on the Latnem Entertainment label. The album would feature the same Hip-Hop style House Of Krazees had used on the "Outbreed EP" and would spawn a cult-hit in "Nosferatu". With House Of Krazees creating a buzz around Detroit and a growing fanbase, fellow Detroit rappers the Insane Clown Posse would ask them to join them for their annual Hallowicked show, "All Up In Yo' Face" tour, and "House Of Horrors" Tour (which they would later be pulled off of, it's still a dispute to this day on the reasoning behind the departure of House Of Krazees from this tour).
During 1997, they were featured on a compilation of underground Detroit rappers/groups called "Mob Mentality", which was entitled "Ghost" and would be the very last track ever recorded by the original 3 House Of Krazees members. House of Krazees also released "Collector's Edition 97" which was a "Best Of"/"Remix" album, while working on their next album "Shit To Make Ya Ears Bleed", which would never be released. After doing one last live show, the "Hack & Slash Masquerade", Hektic and Mr. Bones would realize they weren't getting paid their due amount by Latnem, and after 3 years on the label, and putting their all into everything they were releasing, they realized it wasn't worth it and left. The House Of Krazees had broken up.
