Tammam's creation of desirable and flattering pieces places emphasis on using environmentally friendly, organic and natural fibres and dyes. Vegetarian alternatives: peace silk, banana 'silk' and Hemp wool feature, to form the basis of many pieces within the collection and as expected from any Lucy Tammam range all fabric and garments are produced under fair trade conditions, in India and Nepal.
With the belief that Tammam clothing can act for the benefit of wearers and workers alike, fabrics have been developed especially for the Tammam Collection utilising local crops (hemp; banana; nettle; organic cotton; peace silk) to ensure resources are preserved and producers are given the best deal possible. 10% of profits will also go back to finance community projects within the countries of manufacture to maintain the sustainability the Tammam philosophy so strongly believes in.
