Pete has been singing and playing guitar for years but only recently discovered his talent for lyrics and writing original songs. Pete's influences range from Rap / Hip Hop to Soul and Funk.
Paul has been playing guitar and bass since his teens and this week is (still) mostly listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan and playing the intro to 'Elvis Is Dead' by Living Color on the bass at any opportunity!
Jon has been writing and recording music since his teens and has played guitar, bass and drums in a variety of bands over the years. Probably symptomatic of his age, Jon brings a jazz / soul influence to the band.
Richard has played Guitar, Bass and Didgeridoo(!) for many years and played in a band with Jon in his teens. Richard brings a variety of musical influences to the band and further distinguishes himself by NOT smoking Golden Virginia...
Matt has a wealth of diverse drumming experience, playing in a variety of bands plus is also an accomplished music producer / engineer with his own studio! Our most recent new member, Matt brings a rock influence to the bands sound.
I've been making up a list of local, out of town, signed bands etc that I'd like to work with next year at The Twist starting in the spring. You're obviously on it due to your excellent performance on the 30th at The Twist. I'd like to match you better with the other bands playing though, compared to the 30th gig.
I spoke of my ambitions for Onslaught to you, and that means a lot of work going on behind the scenes that people and bands perhaps don't know about. The socialising is paramount to my ambitions therefore asking to meet with you soon. I don't just put local bands on, by that I mean I try to work with them with single launches, showcases etc so special occassions where band and promoter can work together as a team are my speciality. I was once a Project Manager for a large local firm so planning is second nature.
I doubt I'll promote before xmas so there's lots of time to meet up with you. I'm due out 3 times this week already meeting various band members so if you can write privately on myspace suggesting a few dates between 16th to 21st and I'll check my diary and get back to you with a firm one.
Hope you feel 100% very soon. I've been plagued with digestion problems and shortness of breath all last week. We'll survive!
Hey, thanks for the add. If you've gotta sec check out some of my tracks. I'd love to know what you think. If you like what you hear then check out some of my gigs in the next week or so. It'd be great to see you there. Peace, Johnny. x
Alright lads, thanks for the add. Don't have speakers at work, so will have a listen of you tunes later. I take it you are playing 'Sebbastock' then? should be an interesting place to play. Look forward to it!
