When I was 19, I was paying my way through UCLA as a magician. I was performing at RJ’s for Ribs in Beverly Hills on Saturday nights. A woman from San Francisco asked me what I would charge, above expenses, to perform at a party in Northern California. I said a thousand dollars, more than twice what I had ever charged for a show up to that point. Two weeks later she got back to me and said that her husband and she had gotten into a fight over it. She really wanted me, but her husband held to “What kind of a magician are we going to get for only a thousand dollars?”
I'm a capitalist. What other form of economy allows a person to leverage their common sense for great rewards? More than any economic system I've seen, capitalism allows for the individual to stand on his own merits.
One is still pushed or pulled by social advantages and political influence, but your own merits contribute more than any alternative systems I've seen. Money, connections, and charisma open doors, but it's your character and wits that take you to the top.
Knowledge is the application of character and intelligence. Character is the greater part of knowledge--I'm guessing that the angry account planner that recently called me a communist can't define her terms.

Frequency 23 is an experiment in alternative thinking and networking.
What you do with this is up to you.
A meme is a piece of information that reproduces itself, using a human vessel as a communicator-device.
The study of memetics is the study of language as intelligent reproduction.
A meme-bearer is someone who acts as a catalyst for certain changes in human thought and behavior. A meme-bearer acts, consciously or unconsciously, as a carrier for any given meme, and works to contaminate the rest of the world at large with these memes, to alter consciousness. Meme-bearers are Change Agents.

It is therefore possible to engineer a massive shift in consciousness through understanding the concept of memetics.
The internet is rife with memes, some beneficial and others detrimental to those who wish to encourage critical thinking and human intelligence increase. A controlled study in internet memetics could be conducted through creating a series of viiral rumors, chain-mails, personal bulletins, falsified documents, or otherwise fictional scenarios and studying the ways in which these ideas reproduce themselves.
For this reason, an Agent is prohibited from believing what he or she reads.
Frequency 23 aims to cultivate conscious, witting meme-bearers to act as Change Agents for a higher frequency of awareness. This can be achieved through open dialogues with others, writing and blogging, culture jamming, media projects of all sorts, real-time reality fabrication encounters and group mindfucks, or by merely changing the ways in which you view and interact with the world, and being aware at all times of the ways in which your words and actions shape the world in which we live.
Frequency 23 is a non-profit, creative collective that aims to foster individual growth and the dissemination of paradigm shattering, consciousness altering ideas and actions. It does this through a collective pooling of media, resources, and external networking geared towards intelligence intensification. It operates under the basic assumption that every legitimate revolution is in fact a revolution in consciousness, and perhaps more importantly, the assumption that enlightenment can be contagious.
Frequency 23 is an open-source reality project. A Frequency 23 Agent should understand that reality itself is malleable, and that our interactions with others and the world around us shapes and defines the nature of consensual reality.
The Frequency 23 Mutant Media Gallery is a collective pool from which to draw, sample, or build upon the art and resources of others. All media content contributed to the Mutant Media Gallery should be original, and you shouldn’t mind others using any media content you may upload for other projects under the umbrella Frequency 23 open-source reality project. The only ground rule here is respect for others’ ideas and contributions, and please, give credit where credit is due. To add to the media meme pool, click upload media on the site menu.
The Frequency 23 Visual Memetics Gallery is an image gallery of original art, symbols, and sigils uploaded by Frequency 23 Agents. These photos can and should be used by all other agents in a variety of situations. Visual memetics are like calling cards, and can be used as a means for identifying other meme-bearers.
The Projects section of the site is where you, the Frequency 23 Agent, can design and manage any number of creative projects through the interface of the site itself.
To post to the front page news section of Frequency 23, create a blog.
The forum of the site can and should be utilized as a petri dish in which to breed designer information contagions.
The chat function facilitates live group debate and interaction.
To get the ball rolling, become an Agent and create a Frequency 23 user account.
Frequency 23 is a multi-media process/project spanning many different communities and mediums, transcending the boundaries of local tribal customs, taboos, and social standards. The goal of the process is simple: Infiltrate. Initiate. Mutate. Subvert. Think for yourself. Strive to awaken others. Become an evolutionary agent.
