About me: I'm a Christian Musician. No I am NOT PERFECT, not even for a day at a time. I make a mistake in every song I play, and make a mistake in every day of my life. Difference is, I have GOD to show me the direction I need to take, and I'm willing to listen ( most of the time )
I try to be a romantic for my wife Melissa, we still date nearly once a week. I have two beautiful daughters and a major-ly handsome little man I enjoy spending time with.
Currently playing a Gibson Les Paul Classic and a Fender American Std Strat in the church praise band (www.south-haven.org) , and filling in on electric and upright bass from time to time in Southern Gospel Groups. In my younger days I played the Branson scene, a cool Conklin custom five string Century series bass for a local show, and then upright bass at the big theme park Silver Dollar City. I was playing bluegrass, but thinking Johnny Cash in my head, and giving Lee Rocker a real run for his money when it came to slapping. I still have nerve damage in my right arm to prove it. Nowadays I'm on stage every Sunday morning for two half-hour sets, trying to slip in as many Frampton licks as I can during worship, with a hint of Edge mixed in on the Tomlin stuff.
I work in a WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ( yes it's a DIRTY JOB and I get to do it ) maintaining instruments, sensors, and control systems/hardware during the day, play at night with the kids. Honestly, I spend more time with my guitars than with my bible, but I'm working on it...........I love old airplanes, I have posted photos of me in a WWII 450 hp Texan trainer over Orlando back in August 2005. I'm a fan of Abraham Lincoln, and what he stood for: My favorite Lincoln Quote is "To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men". I hope Planned Parenthood understands when they see me protesting, just following in Lincoln's footsteps.
Who I'd like to meet: I hope someday to meet my KING in Heaven! Here on earth I'd like to meet (Musically Speaking) Chris Tomlin, Daniel Carson (his lead guitarist), PILLAR, Peter Frampton, Neal Schon, and Alex Lifeson. I'd love to meet more WWII survivors, and any of the Tuskegee Airmen, the finest group of pilots in our country's history.
Check out Peter Frampton pitching Geico Insurance!
And below, my AWESOME daughter NOEL, showing her stuff
