| General | Personally -- I am a DC/MD baseball fan! I love going to Orioles, Nats, and Baysox games. I love to travel and see what's happening outside of my world!
I am trying to garden, but I am afraid of the critters that lurk below the dirt. | | Music | I love all music, but my preference lies in Jazz (old and new) and anything by Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Phyllis Hyman and Otis Redding. | | Movies | I love movies, but I can be extremely critical of them. The last movie that I truly enjoyed was the "Departed." Which says a lot about the movie because I absolutely cannot stand to watch violent movies. | | Television | Personally -- I don't watch a ton of TV, but one of my guilty pleasures is America's Next Top Model.
Professionally -- I feel obliged to watch the reality shows like "Whose Wedding Is it Anyway" or "My Super Sweet 16" It helps me to see all of the wild and crazy antics taking place in my world. | | Books | I read ALL of the time. I have twenty years of meeting and event planning experience for Washington DC corporations, non-profits, and foundations. This blends naturally with my years of experience as a skilled designer of wedding cakes and the ‘official’ party planner for friends and family.
My organization, creativity, and flair for the unique led me to my new passion, "wedding and special event consulting."
In addition, my strong inter-personal skills, keen attention to the smallest details, and the ability to capture my client’s concepts, style and dreamscapes are the hallmark of my new business.
