This site is administered by the Estate of Howie Epstein.
Long before he joined Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers -- decades before he collaborated with Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, John Prine and Roy Orbison -- Howie Epstein was upstairs at his parents’ home in Milwaukee, earnestly crafting his own substantial catalog of original songs. This limited edition CD features his earliest efforts, recorded with a pair of pocket-sized cassette decks perched on the foot of a bed, proudly presented -- unenhanced -- as a rare glimpse at the nascent spirit that propelled his Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame career.

The song performed is entitled, "Keeping Me Alive".
Hi Howie, I keep adding your song: "I keep on Living'.. at least once a month to my player! There's something about it, that I really love! I just added it again, a few minutes ago! Man, I hope you're doing OK! You're such a real talent! I wish you well dear one! Enjoy each day, enjoy your music, enjoy all of life! Warm smiles to you! Cheers, ~S~
I remember when I had seen the Heartbreakers play at The Gorge in Washington state during The Dogs with Wings tour - i think it was 1994 or five. As the entire band was walking out of the stage trailer at the right side of the stage, I began to wave at them hoping that one of them would notice. Howie was the only one who took the time to smile and wave back at me. I will never forget that.
