| About Howlin Eddie Rogers |
"Howlin Eddie" Rogers is a solo Delta Blues project, with a tribute to Robert Johnson, Son House, Chester Burnett, et. al - The intent of this project is to educate, entertain, and perhaps inspire the public, to remind us of the powerful raw form blues expression that was left for us to experience, and enjoy. Eddie`s blues performing history has been as a front man, harp player fronting for "Eddie & the Razors", "The Okie Dokies", "The Splatters", "Blue Seville" & "Dick Head & the Shortcuts". Performing with "The Hot Monkey Love Band", "The Blonde Bruce Band", "Perfect Strangers", & "Willie Jay`s Texas Hurricane". Eddie has been fortunate enough to open for headliners such as "Steppenwolf", "Albert King", & "The Blasters". He has also recorded & performed lead vocals with "Abing-Abang-Aboom", album titles "Big Lugz" & "Abing-Abang-Abooms Greatest Hits & More" a project with Michael Page ( "Iggy Pop", "New York Dolls" et. al ) Eddie has only seriously been studying blues guitar for about two & half years, and put down the electric guitar about 10 months ago after being inspired by the style of Robert Johnson`s raw attack. Eddie`s hope is to respectfully attempt to entertain you with soul, passion & have a good time. Video of "Cross Road Blues" & "Stones in My Passway" will be up to view in a few day`s.
