Once upon a time in a place where Lapland begins and hope ends there was a little city.
This city was and still is called Kemi. The probability for this city to offer a good grovinghabitat
for a credible rockband is minimal. Dispite of that the seed of rock that was sowed in 1996
began to sprout and Kemi got to witness a birth of a new species named How Much More.
In the beginning this stunted plant suffered from wrong kind of fertilizers and bad enviroment
but now after years of developing, it has started to bloom.
Okay, enough of this hippie bullshit....
If people would believe everything they read, we could end this biography now by saying
– How Much More is simply a believable and genuinely 'rock' band.
But since every band these days are claming to be so 'rock' we have to prove our statement.
Oh, and the word rock in this case means old speakers from the 70's, rhodes pianos, taste of old organ sounds, soft lighting and absolutely fantastic live act.
Like any rising talents How Much More has a lot to prove but this band doesn't look like it.
From every bandmember you can sense that for breakfast they had Rolling Stones –serials,
clothes are by Led Zeppelin–jeans and the days first breath of fresh air is taken through a Black Crowes cigarette.
Rest of the day is plain How Much More,
until the next day comes and the serials patter on the plate again.
With this day routine the band has put together four demos, one single, also played along with 2 collection record, over 500 gigs, a whole bunch of fans and the latest accomplishment is the ‘How Much More' –debut album (released date 2.6.2005) which proves that this band has found a style and sound that convinces instantly.
Mikko Koivulehto’s skills as a rock-vocalist are without any exaggeration one the best on and off the stage.
How Much Mores sound tastes like the 70's and not least because of the dedication to keyboards by
Tuomo Pfaler. After all this mans arsenal includes Rhodes Seventy Three and taste of good old hammond sound.
Sami Tuomivaara has won the best guitarist –prize in the 2002 Rock SM competition which does not come as a suprise.
Tome Jacku bows to Steve Gorman, Charlie Watts and Neil Peart but bangs the drums with a touch that would make those men smile and give a few growls of acceptance.
On the neck of the bass hangs Ralle who time after time amazes with his precise but unbelievable groovy playing.
One cannot describe this band any better with just words so it's time to let the music speak. The band just released their sefl titled debut album which holds twelve songs that will rock your socks off. So get the album, put it on and enjoy.
