weather (inside and outside the atmosphere), wrestling, satellite radio, music of all types, political junkiness ( I lean slightly left of center, but more in the Bob Casey Sr sort of way), sports, driving on the open roads
Music
all type; but mainly classical, rock, comedic music, 80's/90's pop, occasional country, and whatever. But I like it commercial free.
Movies
mainly comedic ones, but also drama-thriller type of movies. i'm not a fan of horror flicks.
Television
police/legal dramas (law and order, reg and svu; original csi), sports, off the wall comedies (married with children, condo, night court, roseanne), adult cartoons (splitting the rift, simpsons, star blazers, futurama, family guy), classic cartoons (bugs bunny and the like, tiny toons, animaniacs; tom and jerry [original animations until the late 60's])
Books
biograpical (jim cramer, bobby heenan, missy hyatt); true white collar crime (bre-x scandal, etc); political (the first bill oreilly books, pat buchannan, bill press); comedic (the boston driver's handbook, george carlin, dennis miller); and environmental (professional meteorlogical texts as well as 2030 by robert hunter)

About me: well, i'm a meteorologist that's now back in the field as a radio broadcaster/forecaster (as of jan 15).
I am a pro wrestling fan, and am more in favor with NWA-TNA right now than with WWE (even though I will watch both). But I would like to see ROH sometime soon.
As for the media I like, I am a subscriber to Sirius Satellite radio, and can listen to everything from "Howard Stern" and "Bubba the Love Sponge" to "Lynn Samuels" and other liberal hosts, even "Mr Wilkow" or "G Gordon Liddy" once in awhile on the Patriot Channel, and even sports shows like "Scotty Ferrall".
I also like motor sports and related shows (wind tunnel for one).
And as for any comedic leanings, I sort of cherry pick a lot of stuff, since everybody can be funny somehow. Now if only my jokes sometimes go to far afoot for Stephen Wright or George Carlin.
But one of my hallmarks through all of these blurbs is that while I may not be a perfect catholic, I seem to latch to one of the most paramount tenets out there: "do unto others as they have done unto you". After all, I just want to do my thing as best I can and live in peace with the rest of the world.
so call me an idealist.
Who I'd like to meet: more than anything else, some other weather and wrestling junkies that would like to talk shop as well as shoot the breeze. but the honest political discussion is also welcome, as is most other things from reasonable people.
Looks like it will exit the east coast of Florida farther south which means it will come back farther south and ultimately get into the Gulf again farther south than forecasted. Lots of implications regarding future track and intensity if those scenarios happen.
Fay has been a pain in the *** and I am just about finished with the thing. This latest stunt of intensifying and gaining organization over land is just crazy. Makes you think that if this thing can pop back over some warm water, even briefly, it could go bonkers. If that happens it should move back over land pretty quickly, and that should prevent it from getting too terribly strong. Who the heck really knows with this thing?!
hahaha very funny - I actually scored most of the beads at the GAY easter parade............. ;) And I didn't have to "earn" them - it wasn't Mardi Gras, people just kinda give them away.....
Hey Bear - happy new year to you too. Not getting a whole new rig, more like a heart transplant. :) Whatever virus is in my hard drive is just wacky as all hell, and it's better to just get it out than f*** with it anymore.
