HOWDY SLUT-FUCKS
Sick of the same old fuckin' death metal clones running around, all sounding like Lamb of God; guitarists, Luke and Jason and drummer, Adam, all decided to leave their Metal bands to pursue something different. After one long and spectacular drinking session they decided to jam simply to find out what would happen (well Luke and Adam did: Jason was passed out on the floor). What came wailing from the guitars and pounding from the drums was the dirtiest, sleaziest, sexiest fuckin' Rock 'n' Roll EVER! Southern Rock combined seamlessly with Old School Metal.
With the band's foundations in place, all they needed were Bass and Vocals. For the low-end, Adam enlisted Jules; an old band-mate from his days in Briz-Metal act, Kraven (whose most recent project, Killstar, had just broken up). With the *real* musicians sorted, it was just a matter of finding a dirty, sleazy singer. One Friday night, Luke found Nathan singing Corrosion of Conformity songs in the toilet at the local metal club and invited him to audition. Here was a long-haired, beardy, loud, opinionated, dirty, sleazy fuck of a singer with a killer voice. The boys forgave his involvement in the local Hip-Hop scene and forged a unique musicial alliance.
Perfect.
So, with the line-up complete, songs written, gigs planned and studio time booked, High Plains Drifter are now ready to bring their 'Pure Southern Booze-Rock' to a stage, record store or party near you. So grab a whisky, put your beer goggles on and rock the fuck out!!!
