A new beginning, a new start, the group HQ has come far. High quality better known as HQ has been a group of brotherhood, a place for each member to call home. With three members; Marlon Alberts, Ricardo Mais and Keino Johnson, there is no denying their vocal abilities, covering genres from reggae to R&B to gospel. The group is an obvious force in the music market today. They have performed at special events such as Reggae Sunsplash Pre-Show, spectrum, Rise to the occasion & have head lined, Tuesday Night Live at the Village Café. The group as been together since 2004 and still going strong, with fans all over the global their music has been a blessing to many. The group is currently working on an album, slatted to release 2010. With production on the album from many upcoming producer from Jamaica including the group’s own Keino Johnson.
The group has been through a lot with one of its members leaving because of personal issues, changing management but yet still the three (3) original members is still holding strong to the vision and focus of the group which is to bless the world with positive energies through music.
The group as a yearly show called ‘the next generation of reggae where they showcase not only their talent but expose other talented young upcoming reggae superstars. December 6, is always that special date for the big event.
The group as a saying that I like, which goes like this; "HQ for life, we know we going to make it to the top one day, we say we will survive cause music is our life and our destiny" and with those words I leave you but feel free to return.
