Ideología:

Agrupación musical de Bogotá D.C. (Colombia), que basa su propuesta en diferentes corrientes del género Metal como el Groove y Death Metal. Su ideología es una crítica al abuso del ser humano con su entorno natural y social, comparándola con una entidad infecciosa como el virus, la cual altera la homeostasis de su entorno y genera un desequilibrio de los recursos que se encuentran en su ambiente, extinguiendo las demás formas de vida que lo habitan, incluyendo de forma indirecta la de sí mismo. Sin embargo, se plantea una solución con base en posturas como el antiespecismo, los derechos humanos y el naturalismo filosófico.

Bio:

HIGH RATE EXTINCTION inicia en el año 2008 con John (Guitarra), Frank (Guitarra) y Sergio Arocha (Batería) en la ciudad de Bogotá D.C., Colombia. Posteriormente, se unieron músicos de diferentes proyectos como Dario (Bajo) y Zero (Voz). Después de 2 años Sergio se retira y en su reemplazo entra Sander (Batería) con quien se consolida la alineación actual. En el año 2011 se promociona su primer EP titulado INNER MEGGIDO producido por la misma banda y con el cual se dan a conocer a nivel distrital y nacional. .

Ideology:

Basing its proposal on different currents of the Metal genre like Groove and Death Metal, the ideology of this band from Bogotá D.C. criticizes the human’s abuse towards it’s social and natural environment, comparing him to an infectious entity such as a virus which alters its surroundings and generates an imbalance in the available resources carrying the extinction of the other species and his own. However, the band poses a solution from different postures such as antispeciesism, human rights and philosophical naturalism.

Bio:

HIGH RATE EXTINCTION starts in 2008 with John (guitars), Frank (guitars) and Sergio Arocha (drums) in the city of Bogotá D.C., Colombia. Later, other musicians from different projects would join the band, like Dario (bass) and Zero (vocals). After 2 years Sergio retired from the band, Sander came aboard establishing the current lineup. In 2011 they release their first EP titled INNER MEGGIDO, produced by the band, finding recognition city and nation-wide .
