After arriving by plane in 1990, His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, went to Llandaff Cathedral with Her Royal Highness Princess Diana of Wales & His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Wales. Royal Duties And Career In July 2005, William carried out his first official engagements representing Elizabeth II, as Queen of New Zealand, at World War II commemorations in New Zealand. William's second work placement was with the HSBC Group in London. .

PRINCES William and Harry have been joined by a frog in a YouTube campaign masterminded by their dad Prince Charles.

Charles, who has turned to US President Barack Obama's internet specialists to boost the profile of his environmental causes, was speaking at the first screening of his YouTube film featuring cameo appearances from Princes William and Harry - and a frog

The Dalai Lama, Pele, actors Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford, comedian Robin Williams and singer Joss Stone also star alongside an animated frog in the 90-second clip to boost awareness of the Prince's Rainforests Project.

Charles became the first senior royal to broadcast on a social networking website as the clip appeared on MySpace.

Speaking during a live podcast from the National Geographic Store, central London, the Prince joked that he was "aware princes and frogs have a long association".

Speaking ahead of the video's screening, he added: "It features a number of supporters and our aim, with your help, if I may say, is to build an online community to call, from the bottom up, for urgent action to protect the rainforests, by the time the world's leaders gather together in Copenhagen in December for crucially important climate change discussions."

The http://www.rainforestSOS.org website on which it features was designed and built by Blue State Digital, the internet consultancy company behind Obama's successful web campaign that helped him sweep to victory in the US elections.

In the clip, William and Harry, sitting side by side, say they are trying to save the environment "for all of us".

The text number will be promoted by some of the biggest corporations in the world including Google, Facebook, Tesco, Virgin, Sky, Sainsbury's and the John Lewis Partnership. Millions of people are expected to take part. Celebrity support includes a new song from Sting. To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the release of the Police’s “Message in a Bottle” – a classic way of sending an SOS - he has performed a new song about the rainforests to the same tune.

Every year deforestation causes around a fifth of carbon dioxide emissions, more than all modes of transport put together. The Prince's Rainforest Project is calling on world leaders to provide more protection for the important ecosystems. The Prince wants the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December to set up new funding mechanisms so that rich countries pay poor countries not to chop down rainforests.

“Rainforests are utterly essential in our fight against climate change," he said. "They absorb nearly a fifth of all our carbon emissions and yet they are being destroyed at the rate of a football pitch every four seconds. To solve the problem, we have to find ways to ensure the trees become more valuable alive than dead so there is no incentive to cut them down.” The SOS campaign will culminate at an event to be hosted by Prince Charles in November. The SOS petition will be presented to directors of non-governmental organisations, business leaders and policy makers to show them how concerned the public is about the issue. It will also be given to world leaders at Copenhagen along with a special edition of a book of rainforest photographs. Stephen Fry, who has been travelling the world recently as part of the BBC documentary series on endangered animals, Last Chance to See, said everyone has a responsibility to the rainforests.

“A huge percentage of all life on this planet comes from the rainforest," he said. " Science speaks with one voice about the threat to our ecosystem, the threat to our climate, the threat to our population, the threat to the biodiversity of the planet we have inherited, and we know better now and it bears with us to do something about it. It may not seem that one person can change things, but a lot of people can.”

Scientists meeting at Oxford University this week are discussing the risk of catastrophic climate change to rainforests including die back of the Amazon, species collapse and wild fires around the world.

Royal spokesman Paddy Harverson said the internet video was an "unprecedented" move by Charles.
