Roller skating above all else. Meeting other skate crews, local and not, because we're always interested in styles other than our own or ones we're used to. Other than that, we have personal interests that are better explained on our personal sites. They are the top 5 profiles in our top friends.

About me:
HighRollaz of Nashville, Inc. Biography
.
How we began:
The HighRollaz of Nashville, Inc., formerly known as simply HighRollaz, was founded in the spring of 2008 in Nashville, TN. After one skate session in Smyrna, small talk of an idea to form a roller skating group was tossed into the air for all, 4 original members: Joyia, Terry, Keysha, and Dorian, to consider. After careful consideration, Terry decided to remain a HighRolla at heart but be a solo skater on the wood. The group’s new direction was beginning to look as if it would become an all female skate group. All though the ladies were childhood friends, the idea of a skate group was never in mind.
.
How we got our name and colors:
.
After observing the local skate crews' display their art of freestyle skating, passion for it, and high energy, the decision was made for the group to be named HighRollaz. The ladies adopted their childhood nicknames as their skate names: Joyia as "Slim", Keysha as "Lite Brite", and Dorian as "D$". Immediately taken under the wing of the Dreamgirls on Wheels of TN, TN Freestylers, local residing members of, Rolling Wheels of Memphis, as well as other local skaters, the learning experience began for the HighRollaz.
The group's basic colors are teal, black and white. "Slim" and "Lite Brite" came across this color scheme during a shopping venture and the rest is history.
.
How we began networking:
.
Our first traveling experience was to the Louisville Rail Riders skate jam in May of 2008. It was there that they discovered a whole different level of freestyle skating. After networking with other skate crews in attendance, the HighRollaz had gained entry into the freestyle skate world. In the summer of 2008 while networking with national skate crews via the internet, it was discovered that there was a New Jersey group named "Highrollers". Discussions began about changing the name of the group in order to keep confusion down and not to offend the other crew. It was decided that the girls had grown far too attached to the name to just let it go. Because of that, the group was renamed "HighRollaz of Nashville", to distinctively set us apart from the Jersey group. However, we still refer to ourselves as the "HighRollaz" as an abbreviation for such a long name.
.
How we grow:
.
The HighRollaz of Nashville continues to strive for excellence in the knowledge of freestyle skating, as well as in membership. The group no longer consists of only female skaters but has now grown to include male skaters as well. Joining the original members are Kennedy as "Smooth Roller", Sean as “DOT”, and Dion as "D Funk". In addition to the fellaz, two lovely ladies have also joined our rolling organization, Kandyce as "K@ndyK@ne" and Taysha as "T. Boogie". Each member contributes something different to the group indicative of where we call home, whether it is Detroit, New Orleans, New York, Atlanta, Arlington or Nashville. Each member of the HighRollaz of Nashville comes from a different walk of life. We are all unique, but it is our common love for skating which brings us together and allows us to work in a collaborative effort. The ability of our personalities to shine through any situation helps us grow on a daily basis. It is our growth and development that will leave our mark in the skate world.
.
How we graduate:
.
Along with the growth of anything, you always lose someone or something along the way. Fellow skaters, “DOT” and “LiteBrite” have both graduated from the crew and become solo skaters in their own rights. Although a graduated member, we are all family and still help each other grow on and off the wood. Big shout outs goes to “DOT” and “LiteBrite” and we appreciate the effort, work, and desire for greatness shown. WE LOVE YALL!!!
.
.
We appreciate all the love that has been shown to our crew and are eager to show it in return. What up Sk8 world.....We are the HIGHROLLAZ of NASHVILLE!!!!
