    Your Brain's Pattern
Structured and organized, you have a knack for thinking clearly.
You are very logical - and you don't let your thoughts get polluted with emotions.
And while your thoughts are pretty serious, they're anything from boring.
It's minds like yours that have built the great cities of the world!
    Your Brain's Pattern
Your brain is always looking for the connections in life.
You always amaze your friends by figuring out things first.
You're also good at connecting people - and often play match maker.
You see the world in fluid, flexible terms. Nothing is black or white. (They left out indecisive)

    Your Mind is Green
Of all the mind types, yours has the most balance.
You are able to see all sides to most problems and are a good problem solver.
You need time to work out your thoughts, but you don't get stuck in bad thinking patterns.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking about the future, philosophy, and relationships (both personal and intellectual). ..

Your Observation Skills Get A C-
You tend to notice the big things in life...
But the details aren't exactly your forte

Actually, people generally point out how I'm very detail oriented, and how I say stupid things all of the time.

    Congratulations, Heather!
Your IQ score is 138 (I think it's the calculating the side of a triangle question that always gets me!)
This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.
Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results.
  • Music

Metallica, Guns N Roses. Anything with a good beat, nice melody, and not overpowered by horrible lyrics. That means I don't like much modern country or rap, but I love anything that was made with true talent. Metal has always been my favorite although it's almost tied with classic R&B, which just doesn't truly move me the same way. I loved pop music in the '80s. I have loved oldies and rockabilly since the early '90s, even though it wasn't cool for someone my age to like it back then. I have loved Jazz since the mid '90s, but not smooth. My favorite song is Wild Thing by Tone Loc.

I inherited a record collection from various people that includes music from the 20's, many Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, many The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, Dolly Parton, Glenn Miller, Rodger Miller, Elton John, Grateful Dead, Nat King Cole, Charley Pride, Tony Bennett, Jim Nabors, Flatt and Scruggs, Danny Davis, a movie/television soundtracks collection, a Hawaiin collection, and many others. Most of these are not reprints although a few are radio station copies.

My tape collection (yes, I have one) includes some of my parents tapes (Elton John, The Police, Chaka Khan, ToTo), some of my cousin's (not worth mentioning, but think along the lines of Snow), and some of my own (TLC, Metallica, REM, Green Day, Sepultura, Billboard top hits from 50's & 60's). My CD collection includes Metallica, Guns N' Roses, The Sex Pistols, ACDC, The White Stripes, Mishi Donovan, The Cranberries, and that's about it.
  • Movies

Carnival of Souls, Easy Rider, Rocky Horror, and the educational films everyone else hated to watch in science class.
  • Television

los angeles lakers glitter ... Whatever happened to Fraggle Rock?

I got my first TV for Christmas 2006, it's a portable one that also works as a radio. It hasn't been opened yet (the borrowed one that a freind found on the side of the road works just fine). I used to like watching the History Channel, TLC, South Park, The Nanny, The Golden Girls, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Lonely Planet, Masterpiece Theatre, Are You Being Served?, and the other BBC shows. Now I only get one station, PBS. Some additional shows worth mentioning, that I actually current watch (on the rare occassion I get the chance) are Lawrence Welk, As Time Goes By, Keeping Up Appearances, Last of the Summer Wine, Vicar of Dibley, Antiques Roadshow, and History Detectives.

I loved watching my favorite comedian, George Carlin. I have a lot of respect for people who bother to think.
  • Books

Jane Austin's, Anna Karenina (I plan to read an original version one day), The Mysteries of Udolpho, other old novels, war novels (especially WWII), and the World Book Encyclopedia from 1968?.
  • Heroes

I want to be as beautiful and intelligent as my mom, as hard working and ethical as my father, and as talented as my father's sister. The people I most look up to in life are my grandmothers and my recently deceased great-great-aunt Blooma Horne--she went to college at a time when most women wouldn't/couldn't, she ran a farm for decades after her husband died, she had some of my same quirks, and she kept her mind sharp even in old age and failing health--they all had guts, determination, and strong will.

About me:

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. ~ Actually, I've picked up the N-FL/S-AL accent from living in Tallahassee for almost a decade and hanging around locals.

What American accent do you have?

People often think I'm nuts for some of the things I do. I prefer to think of it as thinking big and attempting to make things happen.

.. Everyone is shocked by the difference between what they first think of me and what they realize I am like. I come across as very timid, serious, and reserved; which I am. I am also extremely playful, outspoken and funny, and if you don't see that on a regular basis then you don't know me as well as you might think. Very few people actually ever see that side of me, even those I know, especially right now. There is a lot about me that people do not know. Most find me mysterious and difficult to know or understand. The few people who actually know me find me very easy to read, although they each get their own weird ideas about me that no one else would think of. It probably all stems from the fact that people like to assume that others are like most everyone else, which I am not. Don't think that I think that everyone else is alike. I don't make the same assumptions that others make, I am not bothered by what usually bothers people, and I am not led in one way or another by something simply because it is mainstream. I have never tried to fit into any particular group, or absorb one interest to the exclusion of others.

I have a straight forward sense of goodness that belongs on a zitcom character. Even on the rare occassion that I drink, I still do not do anything I would not do sober. My sense of wrong vs right is very clear cut, but I would never judge others on black and whites. That doesn't mean I don't have old TV programs on tape, but I did keep the commercials (the older the better). I am extremely loyal. I not only avoid breaking rules and laws, but I won't do something immoral just because it is not illegal or would go unpunished. I don't have the misguided notions of "good person"/"bad person" that too many take as a given. There is far too much good and far too much bad in the "worst" and the "best" of us, and too complicated of reasons for why we do what we do. I believe in working hard, earning one's way, helping those in need, doing things just because it helps another person feel better, not bringing needless harm to any type of being, and not disposing of or distroying anything of use. I hate waste and see beauty in potential. I think very logically, but do not make the illogical mistake of ignoring the effect of emotion. My mom says she raised my brother and I as beat-nick hippy flower children. Some things I have always taken as given are foreign ideas to too many Americans. I also stand strongly by my statement that America is overly puritan and conservative, as proven by the fact that providing govt recognized gay marriage could even be questioned. Some liberal things might go on, but we keep ourselves very repressed and to the status-quo.

I am terrably honest and usually blunt to a fault, but constantly fail to correct people who have gotten the wrong impression. If I'm ever going to teach I need to learn to articulate my thoughts more accurately, because I often com across as saying things I don't mean to imply. I admire worn out old buildings and would be ashamed if I lived in a McMansion. When I say that something is a favorite it is because it makes me feel bliss, but does not mean that I would spend my time memorizing a bunch of facts related to it. I value traditions--if I believed as the Judeo-Christians do I would be Catholic and would make a good nun (if I had less interest in men). If I had to have a religion it would probably be Buddhism. I do not believe in heaven or hell, or gods or devils. I feel sorry for those who need such beliefs in order to act decently toward others or themselves. I think taxes are good, not a necessary evil nor something to dodge. We should pay more taxes on gas, and stop giving people the health-system death penalty for not being wealthy. I don't like Republicans because they are fundamentally greedy and have a sour outlook. I am very patriotic and believe in supporting our military, which does not include sending people in harm's way without just cause. It also does not include funneling money by overpaying for toilet seats. I believe a strong federal government is necessary for strong states, and strong communities, and to some extent strong individuals. A solid education for the individual improves the whole community.

My dream home would be in a rural community, not far from a metropolitan area. It would be an old brick house with thick bordered doorways and old style door handles/locks and sinks. It would be large enough to house guests, and have a library and music room. It would have a flower garden, an herb garden, and grape vines to make wine. I would also grow corn and other vegies, fruit trees, and melons. I would have chickens for eggs, and cows for milk.

I am rarely seen in makeup--as in months will go by.
I have no piercings, no tattoos, no fake parts (including nails).

People often think I was sheltered as a kid, but that's not quite true. Given, my dad wouldn't let me ride my bike without training wheels until I was a pre-teen. It's more accurate to say that I was secluded. My family moved almost every year, Boloxi, Augusta, San Diego, etc. etc., so I saw a lot of places and met many different people from all walks of life. My dad also liked family outings such as seeing the burnt out buildings after the L.A. riots--which shut down all the stores in San Diego of the company my dad worked for. Aside from school I spent basically every day at home with my mom and brother, since my dad had to work all day without the big bucks that should (but rarely) come with those hours. Since I inherited social anxiety disorder from my mom I haven't been well socialized.

When I was a kid people always thought I had come from a private school, and would often accuse me of using "school-talk". At age 10 people said I had a perfect London accent, even though I didn't know or care what that was at the time...I watched a lot of foreign TV shows while growing up.

I love lemons--their color, the way they look, their smell, their taste. I also love pumpkins--I'd love pumpkin ice cream in a bowl of pumpkin fry bread.

I love novels from the 1700's through the early 1900's. I prefer the way they were written to current writers and enjoy the historical aspect of the stories.

I love animals of every type, cats, dogs, snakes, mice, fish, pigs, anything.

When I was a kid doctors were constantly telling me that I'd be between 5'7 and 5'11. I had always hoped that I'd only grow to be 5'6 to 5'6.5. I always had and still consider that the perfect height for a woman, but I didn't even get that far. I grew approximately 2 inches in about one month, during my only noticeable growing spurt the last 4 to 6 weeks I was 12, which brought me to within a quarter of an inch of my current height. Both of my parents had their growths stunted, and I am noticeably shorter than both of them. I had hoped I would be one of those people that continues to grow in college, but that didn't happen. If anyone has any last minute tips on how to grow taller (instead of wider) I'd appreciate it.

Back in 1997:

Who I'd like to meet:

Humans, preferably nice ones.

I won't add underage or high school boys as friends, unless I happen to actually know you. It's nothing personal, there's just already too much mingling between adults and kids on this site.

I have no requirements of conversation or acknowledgements to be part of my friends list. I have too much respect for my own time and for yours. At the same time, I won't shun a friendly e-mail or comment, and I won't think someone's crazy because they are writing me when I don't know them--that will be decided by what they write. I love to be around people who are making plans for their future, and I make a great personal advisor, so feel free to tell me about what you are working on accomplishing. I am proud to populate my friends list with interesting people I might never meet.

I like everyone as long as they are acting nice at the time, regardless of how boring or wild others might find them. There are certain things that I respect, such as loyalty, honesty, integrity, being non-judgemental, being charitable, caring about the feelings of every form of life, and appreciating others and the world around them. I like to see people who are healthy enough to be unique without feeling that they must fit in or stand out to be special, and those who are able to make use of their talents. I also love intelligent, thoughtful, interesting people. What I don't like is when people are manipulative, users, lie, cheat, steal, try to find loopholes, think poorly of others to raise their self esteem, and knowingly do harm for their own gain. Even though it all sounds standard, most people I've met have some if not most of those problems--society basically rewards them for it--showing the need for a lot of change and enlightenment in our culture.

The bottom line of my top friends is made of my brothers and sister except for Hillary. On the top line, next to my favorite actor, you can find my band.

    Tomorrow in Gold
    09 November 2009

    To live forever,
    was to love you
    Like tomorrow in gold

    Not lost in the light,
    shielded from your eyes
    Or your kiss, burning,
    ever upon my soul

    Your voice an echo,
never in silence upon my heart
Our love to hold and embrace,
ever beauty, ever face to face

    An eternity, never,
    chosen as you in me
    As if we came together,
    in a moment of magic

The spell under our mind of our Lord
    This miracle of mercy,
    embossed upon our hearts

Like standing on top of a mountain,
looking down at the path before our feet
The night to turn to day,
the day to always be night

If only we could begin again,
    long before we were born
Then we already know the truth,
we already know the path worn

    Emeralds and blue,
    sapphires and diamonds
The taste of blood inside our truth,
now we are immortal, now we do love

Eternal life, the gift of all to live,
    Our world an escape,
    from all forms of harm

    Born to be as one
    Childhood, ours to atone,
    always together, always alone
