I remember when Death - Human, Athiest - Unquestionable - Presence, & Pestilence - Testimony of the Ancients were the best albums cirulating around me and my friends' ears, circa '91-'92, all featuring the monsterous musicianship of members of Cynic from Miami, FL. Me and like 12 friends all piled in my famies '77 Dodge van and drove down to see Death on the Human tour with members of Cynic. One of my slicker friends managed to swap demo tapes with Paul and we were one of the lucky few to have a copy of it. Focus came out in 1993 and is, to this day THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE EVER PERIOD!! After a tour (that I missed, dammit!!) the band parted company due to creative differences. Some of the members did a project called Portal after that was kind of a continuation musically ...
