three friends from different national blues and jazz acts decided to try recording their own brand of instrumental jam/funk/jazz/blues music and 'threadbear fynn' was born. their performance and recording credits include some of the biggest names in rock (Al Kooper), gospel (Mavis Staples) jazz (Jay McShann) blues (Duke Robbilard, Little Milton etc.,etc.,..) and soul (Howard Tate, Eddie Floyd etc.,..etc.,..). but this time around they wanted to write and play their own brand of instrumental music...music with roots in a lot of different styles, music without boundaries, but most of all music that people with different tastes can enjoy...naturally they decided to go down to Bill Smith's Club 39 Studio where the sounds are pure and natural and record these tracks... check out 'threadbear fynn' and tell us what you think...

For those who haven't heard, we'll be in the studio these next few months to record a new album with the renowned reggae singer, Eyon Irie. After that it's summer shows and writing songs for the next Orbits album!
In the meantime, if you don't have our self-titled cd yet, you can still pick it up on CD Baby and Itunes.
