Beastianity have survived close to two decades as a rogue unit of individuals dedicated to the upkeep of the sub underground sound. Pushing our vision with the aid of two-track cassettes and pamphlet drops on public transport and host media in the days prior to the web.
The sonic confrontation of a live Beastianity show was, and is still, a baptism of fire. Only those who could laugh through the excrutiating feedback, tape loops, screaming, potential off stage violence and gunpowder stench would stick around to see the pack develop a sound that remains uniquely Australian. (the band has been accused of sounding "too Australian" by top record executives!?)
We have little interest in socio-political agendas or 'people' as such.
We are essentially Animists, Heathens and proudly Australian.
We tip our hats and prick our ears towards those cultures that continue to venerate the most ancient inhabitants of our planet.
We view the world through a variety of eyes,and our numbers continue to grow very naturally. Mystics, labourers, fishermen, hunters, carpenters, truck drivers, teachers, biologists, painters, sculptors, cartoonists, surfers, skaters, chefs, artisans, horseriders, animal rescuers, healers and hilarions...military trained and street wise...STRAYALIENS all.
Animals and their deification are the main aestheitic drives of this band, as well as paying homage to the sacred Trees, their Runes and the laws of Nature.The only things truly worthy of religious consideration.
Our members have found us through many different routes (roots), and their valuable time and effort spent creating a rare and beautiful collection of live acts and recorded projects will continue to live in the memories of those fortunate enough to have born witness.
