YOU COULD FIND US CLIMBING IN THE WINDOWS AT ALL THE LOCAL "CRAZY CAVAN" GIGS, ONLY TO BE THROWN OUT BY THE LANDLORD, BUT WE’D CLIMB RIGHT BACK IN!!!!!
AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 14, PAT GROGAN TEAMED UP WITH MYSELF, ROB"DOB"DAVIES, AND WE WOULD TRY TO PLAY ALL OUR FAVORITE ROCKABILLY SONGS ON A BUSTED GUITAR. WE WERE SOON JOINED BY MY COUSIN, COLIN"EDDIE"EDWARDS, 13! WHO HAD A CHEAP BASS GUITAR. LATER WE MET "ANDY RYAN" WHO OWNED A REAL DRUMKIT!!! AND "BREATHLESS WAS BORN!
ANDY WAS REPLACED AFTER A WHILE BY PAT’S BROTHER COLIN, AND ABOUT THIS TIME WE PICKED UP RHYTHM GUITARIST IAN"BONE"HAINES, ..............HE KNEW THE CHORD NAMES!!!
AT FIRST WE PLAYED FOR THE LOCAL KIDS, BUT THEN MET 50’S PROMOTOR PAUL"LEGS"BARRETT. HE GOT US ON THE BILL SUPPORTING "WHIRLWIND", ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE BANDS!..HE ALSO RELEASED OUR FIRST E.P. CALLED "SOCK HOP BOPPIN’" ON THE "MAGNUM FORCE LABEL.
OUR FIRST TOUR WAS IN GERMANY IN 1977, WITH "CAVAN" & "GINA & THE ROCKING REBELS", WE HAD A WILD TIME PLAYING ALL OVER GERMANY, AND FINISHED UP DOING THE LAST EVER NIGHT IN THE FAMED "STAR CLUB" IN HAMBURG! (THE POLICE CLOSED IT DOWN!)
ABOUT THIS TIME, EDDIE GOT HOLD OF A SLAP BASS WHICH HE PLAYED NIGHT N’ DAY TILL HE MASTERED THE THE THING.
WE THEN RECORDED AT A LOCAL STUDIO BUT WE NEVER RELEASED THE TAPES. THOSE THAT HAVE HEARD IT SAY IT’S THE BEST THING WE EVER DID, AND WE MIGHT STIL PUT IT OUT .....ONE DAY.
AFTER A FEW YEARS WE SCORED A DEAL WITH "BIG BEAT RECORDS" IN PARIS, FRANCE....THATS WHEN THINGS REALLY KICKED OFF FOR US!!!
WE RELEASED TWO ALBUMS, "BAD BAD BOYS" & "THE TWILIGHT ZONE" WE TOURED NON STOP FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS, AND DID EVERY MAJOR VENUE, STADIUM, TV & RADIO SHOW IN EUROPE. "THE STRAY CATS" INVITED US ON THEIR "BLAST OFF TOUR"..... THEY WERE GREAT GUYS, WE HAD A WILD TIME & ROCKED THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!!
AFTER THIS, WE TEAMED UP WITH "CAVAN" & "FREDDIE "FINGERS" LEE FOR A 2 YEAR TOUR OF SPAIN CALLED "THE ROCKING 80’S TOUR". AN ALBUM WAS RELEASED ON SPANISH "WELCOME RECORDS" CALLED "THE SADDLETRAMPS".
TIME ROLLED ON AND THEN WE KINDA FELL APPART IN THE EARLY 90’S, SO WE CALLED IT A DAY AND QUIT ON A HIGH NOTE.
SADLY EDDIE DIED A FEW YEARS AGO AND , AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, IS WELL MISSED BY US ALL & CANNOT BE REPLACED.
THE REST OF US DECIDED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD. BUT SOON REALISED THAT THINGS WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS. SO WE FINALLY PUT IT TO REST AGAIN, AFTER SOME GREAT GIGS IN EUROPE.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
