    Dave's forth coming CD is a mixture of originals and reinventions on unexpected tunes from the 50's 60's 70's,80's and 90's. All treated with an earthy/worldly mixture of Brazilian, Afro Cuban, Jazz, Soul, Folk and Rock. All the instruments are acoustic, which is very satisfying to listen to. Everyone's voice in the group blends beautifully. "My idea is to take the music that has always affected me/us and put it through the lens of the band. "I find that a lot of people really respond to the tunes that they know in an unfamiliar way" Dave Manley grew up in Detroit, motored around the city playing in various groups ranging from metal to jazz. Lived in LA, bounced around in various groups all the while doing the jazz thing on the side. Moved to Philly, toured with a few chitlin circuit groups, recorded with DJ King Britt and DJ Josh Wink. Moved to NYC, attended the the New School music program, performed wiyh some of the best musicians in the world. Returned to Philly, and has since toured written for and recorded with: Jill Scott, Musiq soulchild, King Brtt, josh wink back in the dam day. Vivian Green, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Herbie Hancock, Jewel, Raheem Devaughn..... Appeared on just about every major talk show on TV, Leno, Kimmel, Ellen, Smiley, the veiw to name a few. Currently writes, records gigs a lot, teaches a little and records with his group Philasophik.
