Health issues this year have been a nightmare for me. But all is now coming along pretty good as I am on the road to recovering quite well. I now have to endure radiosurgery for a period so hopefully that will help get things under control. Thanks to all of you who keep sending well wishes to me and my family. You probably have no idea how much that means, but it means a million to us. Thanks heaps.
I will be back in action real soon.

The SHARON LANE story has opened on a new and exciting chapter, and it’s full steam ahead for the talented singer/songwriter who has overcome the biggest battle of her life, her fight with a debilitating brain tumour in 2006, which was aired nationally on channel Nine’s RPA show and ‘Where are they now’, series.
Refreshed and ready to rock with her debut album Second Chance produced by the outstanding HERM KOVAC at Ramrod Studios in Sydney, Sharon has burst onto the music scene, winning Most Promising New Talent in music at the prestigious 2007 Deadly Awards as well as being nominated for Vocal Collaboration at the 2008 Tamworth TIARA Awards- a massive boost to Sharon’s confidence and a tribute to her acclaimed craft.
Born in Dubbo NSW, her powerful vocals and her ability to captivate an audience is what establishes her as a true crowd pleaser.
As Radio’s Daryl Kirkup from Kallangur, QLD puts it, “Country Music in Australia is blessed with a great variety of fresh material and this is one of the best”.
Sharon’s passion for music became evident during her school years where she performed extensively at talent quests throughout NSW with many successes.
At the age of sixteen, Sharon was invited to be guest artist with the Col Hardy Show Band, as well as support acts for Adam Brand and Adam Harvey as part of the Orana Country Music Association.
Sharon was support act for The Wolverines in 2007.
In November 2006, Sharon released her debut EP, “Left it all behind’, which placed her 55 in the top 100 at the MusicOz Awards at Sydney.
This was followed by performances at the 2006 Dreaming Festival at Woodford, Queensland.
Keep an eye out for Sharon as her innovative flavour and unique style to the country music scene is seen nationally. Sharon has performed at many festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Dreaming Festival, Putalina Festival, Yabun, Glenn Innes Borabee Festival, etc.
Sharon is thrilled with the development of her debut album. “There were so many tears for me in recording this album. It has been a journey of love, hope and inspiration and the most amazing journey of my life”.
