STEFAN WERNI works as a double bass player in several bands and projects in Jazz and improvised music. He plays a Pöllmann bass from 1963 with Velvet gut strings. Until today he played and/or recorded with: SHEILA JORDAN, LEE KONITZ, CHARLIE MARIANO, the late TONY SCOTT, BILL ELGART, REINER WINTERSCHLADEN, LAUREN NEWTON, SABINE KÜHLICH, and many others. He performed at: WDR & NDR TV, Jazzfestival Viersen, Jazzfestival Rostock, WDR Jazzfestival Cologne, Jazzclub Unterfahrt Munich, Jazzrallye Düsseldorf, Jazzkeller Frankfurt, Jazzgipfel Stuttgart, The Bimhuis Amsterdam, The Vortex London to name a few. Apart from that he is involved in diverse theater projects in Düsseldorf, Moers, Bochum etc. Besides his Jazz activities he developed an electro-acoustical duo performance with his longtime musical partner CHRISTIAN JENDREIKO where both play synthesizers, cello or guitars.
