Bio
Roger has been a top studio musician in New York for over 30 years. He has recorded and performed with a variety of artists which include Luther Vandross, Phil Collins, Grover Washington, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grusin, Chaka Kahn, Spyro Gyra, Michael Franks, Wyclef Jean, Lyle Lovett, Gregory Hines, Vanessa Williams, Whitney Houston, Chic, John Legend, Marc Anthony, Cindy Lauper, Blondie, Hootie and the Blowfish, Brian Mcknight, Jill Scott, Al Dimeola, Andrea Bocelli, Gladys Knight, Dave Valentin, Herbie Mann, Angela Bofill, The Dizzy Gillespie big band, Yoko Ono, Ron Carter, Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Lopez, among many others. Roger has written music for the award winning Childrens TV show "The Puzzel works " and for the film "Spin the Bottle". Broadway credits include "The Civil War", "The Big Deal", "BKLYN the Musical", "Chronicle of a Death Foretold","Tarzan"and "Burn the Floor". Roger also has worked for Cirque Du Soliel on their production of "Wintuk" His extensive knowledge of percussion instruments led to a position as a product development consultant for Latin Percussion Inc. in 1995 and 1996. Roger has recently collaborated with fellow percussionist Javier Diaz to write and produce a CD. The group name is "Tribal Sage". The CD is titled "Behind the Mask" and features Bill Evans on sax's, Jeff Golub on guitar, Mark Egan and Lincoln Goines on bass as well as several other very talented musicians.The music will soon be available to purchase .
