   About Huck Notari
Huck grew up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in an old country house. He eventually found himself on the west coast where he helped form the Cardboard Songsters, a vaudeville troupe. He then landed in New Orleans miming on the streets as Charlie Chaplin where he joined the Kitchen Syncopators, a ragtime and country blues band with former members of the Songsters. He released his first solo record, "Highland" in 2007 and his second album, "Very Long Dream" in February of 2009. Accompianied by friends, he has created an original, honest country sound. CountryHome Forum, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , is one of the biggest Forum for country music in Europe and part of CountryHome, www.countryhome.de , Germany's Premier Online Country Music Magazine.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.

I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Thanks

Christian

David Franks: Walkabouts Verse

Jul 4 2009 8:34 PM

(Hi: enjoyed my visit.)

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

I think I owe you a smoothie, and I have Zack's copy of "No Direction Home"... and Sir Richard Bishop is playing in Eugene Tonight, and I think I might go to sleep 'cause I've been moving my stuff and I'm mostly done now. What an asshole, eh? I'll see you at fair @least. Thanks for existing sir..

I Draw Slow

Jun 20 2009 8:12 AM

Hi Huck Notari, I Draw Slow are playing The Cobblestone, Smithfield in Dublin on Wednesday 24th June, supported by the amazing Thomas Kitt. Doors are at 8.30 and admission is €10, a small price to pay to see the citys two premier acoustic acts don't you agree? On the off chance you disagree, come down on wednesday next to the Cobblestone, Smithfield Dublin and we'd be happy to discuss it.

Its fine don't worry about it. I'll fax the letter to you from the post office. Its a real bastard of a thing. I've been caught out with it lots of times when ordering CD's on Amazon. Anything over £18 carries a custom and insurance charge. I'm just concerned for you, you're gonna have to pay a lot of money when I return this to you. Nevermind, at least your enjoying Ireland. I'm just back from a day trip to Larne, shattered but it was fun. Its nice to visit my celtic cousins. All Scots are practically Irish, if you trace back your roots.

Anyway, take care and I'm sorry this plan fell on its arse.

But hey, you've got to laugh at life or you'd pick a spot and jump! haha

May 22 2009 7:35 PM

Huck my friend, I warned you this would happen!! I got a letter today from Royal Mail informing me that they were holding a parcel for me at the post office and if i wanted to pick it up it would cost me, a £40 customs tax charge together with a £12 insurance charge!! Thats a lot of money for me to fork out, Huck. I told you before you sent the CD's on to cover the cost. Anything over £18 carries with it a customs charge as it enters Britain.

We are on a bank holiday here and so nothing is going to get attended to until Tuesday next week. I'll enquire about sending it on to Ireland but if its too expensive I'll have to "return to sender." If you give me the address for your Ireland friend, that might help!!

You're a worry Huck. You haven't listened to a word I said, I told you ages ago about all this and you went ahead! Why, my friend?

I'm all for helping you out but its just too expensive for me. If its possible to send your merch to Ireland, alls well and good, if not .. I'm afraid to say I'll have to return it to Oregan and its gonna cost you to pick up your own items!!

Why didn't you just check out what you could take in your luggage through the baggage at your airport!.

Anyway so it goes, I tried to warn you.

Sorry for nagging ... hope the Ireland tour otherwise goes well for you. x

Sharon

I suppose you're heading over there soon. We'll miss you over "here", not that we ever get enough of you anyway... whoever we is..

I'll be in Oregon during most of june through fair. If you're around during june, drop a line. I need to go to portland for a couple reasons..., so maybe we can bust out the tin cans and scratch some wax with a needle, or just play a few tunes for no one in particular. should be sending by email, but here I find myself atype...
