Mission Statement:


HUBA's first and foremost priority is to its members, always providing the necessary activities to keep the interest high. It must not, and will not forget its roots, created to bring students and non-students with a passion or interest in any board sports together, of all ages and levels for one purpose.

With a continued joint motion of striving forward to encourage, enthuse, teach and perfect skills. HUBA is about friendship, bringing people together outside of University and work time, from all walks of life and backgrounds, to enable them to immerse themselves in the boarding culture with other like minded people.

About me:
What is HUBA?

HUBA stands for Huddersfield University Boardriding Association; a society now in its fifth year that aims to provide an opportunity for people wishing to participate in a variety of board sports. Founded by two surf enthusiasts, the society has provided numerous surf trips to all areas of the UK, wakeboarding trips within yorkshire and fantastic snowboarding trips to France. The society has grown to include around 90 members and has aquired a variety of equipment to improve the accessibility of boardsports within Huddersfield.
