If you're a fan of good old rock and roll then you'll like it!
The release of their first EP, Twenty, begins the Hudson and Prout band's promotional
entrance into the independant musician's realm. Prior to the August 2006 release the
band performed approximately 100-200 shows a year in local and regional bars. The band has
over 3 hours of material, full stage production capabilities, and hundreds of hours of combined
performance experience.
Shayne Hudson and Mike Prout met in 2001 while performing the same night at
an open mic in Baltimore. Their first performance together was impromptu; Prout
joined Hudson on stage to sing harmony. The chemistry was undeniable. Their
improvised set evolved into several demo recordings and a regular performance
schedule. Entertaining the crowd became their number one priority and the duo built
a strong repertoire of songs including original and cover material. In 2005 the established
duo hooked up with the potent rhythm section of the Baltimore Indy rock recording artists
the Table Top Poets, Mark Butler (Bass) and Larry Rohleder (Drums). The Hudson and
Prout Band, adapted the former duos set to the band. They perform with strong musicianship
and always strive to keep their audience entertained.
"... Where we stand? we're still growing ... we're taking it one day at a time and trying to get our material 100%" - Shayne Hudson "... We're a band that in a way defies description ... the influences that each member brings is eclectic." - Mike Prout "... I'm determined to win over the crowd." - Shayne Hudson
