Huemonxu was formed in the summer of 2005 as a power trio consisting of Adam Bronstein, Mike DiSalvo, and Mic Fleishmann. After a summer of playing around buffalo, they agreed something was missing in their sound. After trying out several keyboard players Huemonxu decided to go with close friend Scott Martin. The band played their first show as the familiar quartet on New Years eve 2005-2006 at their early stomping ground Broadway Joes. Since coming onto the local scene Huemonxu has shared the stage with many of the areas top bands (including Lazlo Holyfeld, On The Sly, The Wakos, Sonic Garden, Juxtaposse, Headie Lamar, Old Radio Ensemble) aswell as national touring acts (Perpetual Groove, PHIX). The band has just finished their first major studio undertaking titled Speaking, a full length 16 song work that flows togeather as one ecclectic musical atmosphere. Recorded and mixed by the band at their Beach of a Distant Planet Studios, Speaking is available online and at any Huemonxu live event.
The band is eager to branch out of buffalo and show the east coast their original blend of Funk, Jazz, Space Soundscape, Roots, and psycadelic audio imagery.
