The Dream began back in late 1997 as Pat Trejchel & Abe Mohammadione began toiling with the idea of putting together a most gnarly music group. The rock began in early 2001 at Denison University as Mark Nugent & Abe began regular jam sessions in a small single dorm room on the 3rd floor of Shaw Hall. The music which Abe had written blended well with the off-beat, multi-layered vocals Mark was penning. By the time they had a handful of tracks, Pat was already on the scene with bassist Walt Rough. After their first full rock-a-thon on WDUB 91.1FM in Granville, all they needed was someone to bang away at the skins. This task was given to the red-haired wonder, Kevon Gray.Returning to Toledo, OH for the summer of 2001, Huge Buffet had a chance to be with each other day in and day out, working on the songs that would eventually be recorded for the soundtrack to Abe's short film, "Even Know." The EP soundtrack was recorded in mid-July at the now defunct New Realm Studios in bustling downtown Toledo. The band played their first show in November of 2001 at The Roost in Granville, OH, opening for the legendary Distorted Penguins. That fall they were also were featured in Abe's short film, where they rock out in two live performances. After playing several more shows in college towns around Ohio, Huge Buffet moved back to home turf in Toledo for the summer of 2002. They were regularly featured at the Longhorn Saloon and the Homestead Bar & Grille. But after much speculation, the band went on hiatus in the fall of 2002...They did reunite for a few more shows in 2003, including their final show, "The Last Supper," which took place at the Longhorn Saloon on July 22, 2003.Plans are now in the making for their second reunion, "The More Food For Thought Tour."Stay Tuned!
