"Grip" was the first punk single I ever bought - 12th February 1977 from the "Disc-O-Tape" record shop in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire. Henceforth I obtained "Rattus Norvegicus"...I have never looked back...
saw the damned last week in hamburg and walked backstage -wearing my-RAVEN-SHIRT-"Your.. the second best band in the world " i told the captain, it was great fun. looking forward to see you again in germany.
It was great seeing the film in Liverpool last week and i think hooverdam is the best thing you have done in a long time. It was also great meeting you for the first time its been a long 25year wait but it was worth it. Lets hope you get the credit you deserve. take care
wow!!!love hooverdam went to see it in york with your good self there also. personally think this is the best you have ever done including stranglers !!! love itxx
Many thanks to Hugh for yesterday's delightful download!
Seattle's 1-Feb-08 show/evening was a treat to treasure always. Share your rare charm and creativity with us again, sooner than later! Don't know about toting your equipment again, buuuut....
Best wishes (break a pen?) for your fiction writing, as well. :)
Bonjour Hugh, Merci! Thank you for adding me. You possess an amazing gift with respect to songwriting and you are a marvelous lyricist. Early Stranglers fan, but what you do independently is simply mind-blowing. Your work is very much appreciated by this Canadian musician! Excellent:) Have a lovely day Hugh and keep on doing what you do. Much respect, Ms. Atomic
Cheers for the add it's good to see one of my songwriters get more of the recognition that's deserved for the years of graft. Hugh gets better with age. Looking forward to the new album very much, and hopefully catch a few gigs as well.
