We are two young girls from Gudbrandsdalen, Norway.
Marie Forr Klaapbakken(22 years old) from Vinstra, and Olaug Furusaether(21 years old) from Ringebu. We are currently studying folkmusic at the Norwegian Academy of music in Oslo. We both play fiddles, hardangerfiddles and sing.
We are two young girls with big hopes and dreams, we have already done one of them. June 2007 we went on a three weeks tour in USA, that was sucsessful and we are now already planning a new tour in autumn 2008.
Huldra is a well known female character in Norwegian fairytales from the deep valleys. She is a woman with large curves, her hair is big, fluffy and long and she has a cow..s tail. She is not at all that pretty, but her special talent is to spellbind every man who gets a look at her.
We hope that our music will work it..s charms similary on all of you in the musical sense!
