Human Adult Band has been a creative vehicle for Trevor Pennsylvania since October 2002 and has featured a revolving door of members from experimental, rock and noise acts, Buckets and Batteries, Gorgot and Magnet City Kids. The Adult Band formed in New Brunswick, NJ as a two piece with members, Digget on drums and Trevor P.A. on bass and vocals. Drummer, Digget was quickly replaced by Blaine and the band began to include additional members to fill out the sound. The new additions included, at times, Michael Dooling on percussion, Jake Annodide on modified guitars and circuit bent keyboards and Mike Hayden on additional keyboards and mixing board. Drummer, Chaz Wetlands, replaced Blaine on drums for a couple of gigs and an east coast tour. After a year of gigging and touring, the band moved to Philadelphia and Trevor P.A. stayed in New Brunswick. At this time the band's Wantnaut/Wastenaut demo, featuring live tracks and home-studio tracks, was released. Soon after the release, Wantnaut/Wastenaut reached the top 40 at NYC's Free103point9, a terribly hip noise and experimental music radio station. Blaine rejoined the Adult Band to work on new material. Shortly after Trevor P.A. decided to regroup the Adult Band in New Brunswick with new members, Mike McCoskey on guitar, Dana on tambourine, Andrei on feedback mixer and microphone and King Darves on drums, the later two from the New Brunswick noise band, Gorgot. The Adult Band can currently be found playing basement shows, loft parties and the Easton Ave. fast food circuit in New Brunswick, NJ . The band has been self releasing limited run live mix cassettes and cds hailed by online blogs such as Thurston Moore & Byron Coley's Bull Tongue, Blastitude, Animal PSI and Smooth Assailing. These releases are exclusively available on their own dihd and bone tooth horn labels.

The future of the indie music world post-Person Pitch/Merriweather Post Pavilion? We might just be seeing/hearing it in young (freshman at IU) Bloomington, Indiana-based Spirit Spine. (My Old Kentucky Blog)
Spirit Spine spreads his hands with a smile, and between them stretch neon coloured wills o’ the wisps which are arranged around your room most delicately to create a tunnel of halos which ends at a glimmering gate in your ceiling, if you slide inside this path and levitate past the gate you will find yourself standing not in the sad mess of your neighbours’ flat above, but on top of a warm mesa from which you can behold an orgy of orange and red as twin suns set over an alien landscape of ravishing beauty. This is the sound of Panda Bear if he was into Arthur C. Clarke instead of Walt Whitman. (20 Jazz Funk Greats)
This beautiful super-heavyweight LP, which comes packaged in a sweet full-colour sleeve reunites the UK's premier free drummer Alex Neilson, who's played, amongst others, with Motor Ghost, Directing Hand, Trembling Bells, Tight Meat Duo, Josephine Foster, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Jandek, MV&EE, Richard Youngs, Baby Dee and Alastair Galbraith, with Nmperign member Greg Kelley, whose reinvention of the trumpet is as crucial now as Anthony Braxton's reinvention of the sax was 30 years ago. A screeching, soaring, scattergun array of noises come maniacally out of Greg's horn, unlike anything we've ever heard and, with the addition of random stabs of electronics, he successfully straddles no wave, concrete and free jazz in a way that makes those genres seem like trite pigeonholes.
Hi, Enjoyed seeing you at the Nightlight in Chapel Hill! Mike came out for drinks with us after and regaled us (me, my friend, and two Swedes) with a story of mysterious Swedish fog, that I don't think any of us understood... did you finish the story? Nah, it was entertaining, and a fun night. ;) I actually can't wait to go back to Sweden and investigate this phenomena for myself. I see you will be traveling, too, so best wishes! See you next time! - Rebecca
The second release in the Archaic Fetishism series is a four way split cassingle featuring bizzaro carnival pop songs by Eskimeaux, Raindrops Falling From Heaven, The New Heaven And The New Earth, and Snow Caps.
Eskimeaux is Gabrielle Smith, also known for her work as a member of Br'er. Eskimeaux starts the set with the aptly named "Dreamy Pop Song II," an icy, distant song that embodies the bittersweet loneliness and overwhelming temptation of unobtainable love.
Raindrops Falling From Heaven is the solo work of Ugh God percussionist Dan Angel. Side A closes with Angel's debut track "Old Lady Love," an infectious piece of electronic pop.
The New Heaven and the New Earth is the latest from Roger Martinez, also known as a member of Br'er and a founding member of The Private Sea. Side B opens with "I Live in The Trees," an ode to alienation in the form of an acid-soaked carousel waltz.
Snow Caps is the brainchild of Andrew Keller, who also plays in Hermit Thrushes. Snow Caps closes the set with "Winter Pop Song", a summation of the diverse range of sounds heard on Archaic Fetishism 2 that simulatenously bears Keller's unmistakable songwriting fingerprint.
Archaic Fetishism 2 is a limited release of 100 cassingles packaged in handmade felt pouches, assembled by hot glue
