The American people have spoken clearly. We don't want the government to continue it's war in Iraq. Despite massive anti-war demonstrations across the country, and the elections in 2006, our renegade government has chosen to ignore the American people and continue without an end in sight. The time has come to let our officials know that we want them to withdraw from Iraq now. This is another war that we will not win. We cannot win, because wars are not won. They are simply fought, and the victor then inflicts their particular brand of cruelty on the loser. Nobody wins.

This is a non-violent movement rooted in positivity. Yes there is lots to be upset about, but we're done getting angry. Now, we're getting ORGANIZED.

Anyone interested in getting involved in any way, let us know. We appreciate your help.

People all over the world are joining the "Peace the First" movement to express their commitment to Peace, whether it be inner peace or world peace, peace of mind or peace on earth.

Please join with us by committing to focus on Peace the first of every month, the first of every week, the first of every day, or whenever it feels right for you to do it. You can do it in groups, with activist gatherings or meditation/prayer circles, or simply at home by yourself, meditating, praying, lighting a candle.

Make Peace part of a regular routine, share it with others, and help spread the word. Each one of us who participates does make a difference!

So this Tuesday is the return of Digging Up Houston, and you should all be there and have a good time with us.

This day is designed for Musicians and those who love music, art, and FREE events to come out and have a great time. You don't wanna hear music? Go upstairs and check out Live Drawing (clothes optional).

The loation is 314 Main smack-dab in the midst of the beast. We are calling out all of art to come join us in resurrecting the wonders of the artists in this city. We all complain that the layout of Houston makes it hard for art to thrive, well here is your center! Stop complaining and do something about it!

I ask you to bring whatever medium you use to create and come defend our hometown from the true tyrany that has befallen us. Let us rise up as one artistic collective to bring the spark of revolution from it's grave to the streets. I challenge each and every artist to come and add their strength to this collective of intrensics.

Notsuoh has opened its door to us and asks nothing but peace. Come help us maintain that and support this wonderful place that will allow all of us to be part of a movement in a city without any. Let's give Austin a run for their money.

For info call and leave a message @: 832.397.9263

Hope to see all of you there!

Music,

Z

Tuesday night's jam session @ Notsuoh (314 Main) was AMAZING!

Many didn't show due to the weather, but the first round of Digging Up Houston went off like we had been doin it regularly already! We had drummers, guitarists, bassists, keys, vocalists, and some wicked harmonica. The music went from Funk, Latin-Acid Rock, Arabic Grunge, Free-Jazz and ended with some cool, calm Blues.

We WILL be doin this again, and as I've said before, all are welcome. We will kick it off around 9 or 10 and it will go to whenever. THIS IS AN ALL AGES EVENT. Bring whatever instrument you want. Bring spectators, bring friends, and bring good will!

This is something that will allow us as musicians to network our skills and resources and make Houston a better place for all of us. With this we can start a haven for us to get together and play music for the people that support us.

Let's all have a great time and show this city that what music can accomplish in the face of adversity and doubt! Help us continue Digging Up Houston!

Music,

Z

Tomorrow night @ Notsuoh (aka Clarks) on Main Street in Downtown Houston we, the ever vigilant musicians of Houston, begin our crusade to bring back the awareness of music to our beautiful city!

Here's the skinny:

Bring a drum, voice, guitar, bass, violin, turntable, computer, keyboard, sousaphone, or whatever you create music with and join us for a weekly celebration of music in Space City.

We will take 10 minute increments of various combinations of musicians for each "session". This will allow you to find some people you gel with and you can start requesting to play with certain individuals, and possibly, start another project.

This is for the purpose of creativity excercise and networking for gigs, jobs, bands to join, organize other sessions, find studios, share resources, etc.....

We are planning to make this a weekly venture and it is open to all ages and walks. The fine proprietors of Notsuoh are allowing us to do this free of charge. I will not stand for that! I am pledging a weekly donation and encourage others to donate what they can to help them stay afloat. Let's give back to those that have given us something so wonderful!

For anyone interested, hit me up with numbers, email addresses, or myspace info.

Come one, come all, bring friends.

Music,
Z

We should do this till we shouldn't have to. These small steps add up to the sum of countless lives. There is no good reason to pass on the oppurtunity to promote a positive shift in the collective paradigm .

it's a shame we have to use the weapons we're against, fighting, to obtain what it is we seek. but it is witheld in the nature of love to fight for what you'd love to make represent your humanity and mark the pages to those who don't believe.

by doing what this country was found upon, if it holds the slightest hope for a future of saving grace, than by god i'll give my all. to those who don't believe, it's felt for a reason. we fight for peace, because we refuse to be the slaves of hopelessness.
