About me: So anyway, most of our magazine is based around a nice-enough chap called Devil Balloon. He's the balloon-like thing in our avatar. Devil Balloon is friendly with Mr. V, Parrot, Nigel Gravelflower and cuddly fall-guy, Defty.
This is a Swindon comic that is made in Swindon, by Swindonians, and is for everyone to read. Devil Balloon lives at 13 Jersey Park (a lovely street), Swin City Comics and The Ocelot Magazine promote our work (as we promote them). OK, yeah, Swindon is a bit cruddy but there's no reason why Hungry Monkeys can't put Swindon on the map!
Hungry Monkeys Magazine also features informative(?) articles, stories, comic strips, doodles and we are always keen to promote and review local acts if we think they're any good.
Right now we are getting well excited about a fantastic Swindon band called The Kamikazes, and in the upcoming issues we will be interviewing them, reviewing their music, and hopefully we'll have a song of their's on our page real soon!
We often turn up at gigs and theatre, and other Arts stuff in the local area, so if you want to show off your drawings, claywork, band, dance-troupe or just say hello, then give us a hoot.
