Confusion will be my epitaph. As I crawl a cracked and broken path, if we make it we can all sit back and laugh. But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying. Yes I fear tomorrow i'll be crying...
Between the iron gates of fate, the seeds of time were sown, And watered by the deeds of those who know and are known; knowledge is a deadly friend when no one sets the rules. The fate of all mankind I see is in the hands of Fools.
The wall on which the prophets wrote is cracking at the seams. Upon the instruments of death the sunlight brightly gleams. When every man is torn apart with nightmares and with dreams. Will no one lay the laurel wreath as silence drowns the screams.
Unseen and unheard by mortals But nevertheless he is there Prancing for all the God’s to see His beauty beyond compare
Of course mortals like me can see him But we have to close our eyes And imagine with the purest hearts Then he’ll come racing through our skies
Yes - It’s easy for me as a poet For my mind is full of dreams And sometimes I even ride him Because my fantasies reach extremes
I pity those whose existence is mundane Without fantasy and fairies in their lives Missing out on so much joy Plus the happiness that’s derived
They see poetry just as typed out words And are not able to cavort amongst their dreams For them there is no Pegasus - Just monotony And a life of endless screams
