Make it Happen! When I want to do something, I find a way to do it. I grew up in Tifton, GA and I miss that place alot. I love to go home to see my family. I finished college at the University of Georgia and moved to Nashville, TN. Why did I move to Nashville? As Anthony Smith (who is one of my favorite song writers) stated, "Blame it all on Lynard Skynard." I spend most of my time working with an artist named Brandi Thornton. To me her voice is a breath of fresh air to country music. I play as a hired guitarist for many other artists in Nashville as well as manage a band called Dawgtown. I am also owner of Hunter Blake Productions. I provide sound reinforcement and engineering services for all types of events...........Ok enough business.........I'm a South Georgia Boy, I love Georgia Football, "Huntin' and Fishin" are my favorite past times. (that probably sounds country, well..) I enjoy playing the guitar with my friends on the front porch as much as I enjoy playing in front of 20,000 plus crowds. I'm a rocker at heart, but country music is my life story. I like all music. The words music and genre together mean nothing to me. It's music, it's art, I love it all. I think my mom for turning me on to music, and I think my dad for keeping the band trailer rolling. There is not a dent he can't fix! I want to think all of you who support me daily through the adventures in my music. "I don't make money in the music business, I make music in the money business". (Thanks PM) I could not have said it better! HC

TIFTON — Guitarist Hunter Carmichael, a Tifton native, and The Brandi Thornton Band are opening for Randy Owen, former lead singer of Alabama, at Wild Adventures Saturday.
Carmichael is a 1997 graduate of Tift County High School. He attended ABAC and graduated from the University of Georgia.
“I enjoy playing rock, blues, soul and of course country,” Carmichael said.
At UGA, he was a member of a band called the Dawgtown Ramblers.
In 2001, he teamed up with Thornton and with Thornton as the lead vocalist, the band traveled the southeast for more than five years making over 500 appearances.
In 2004, Thornton and Carmichael relocated to Nashville, Tenn. They lost a few members during the relocation and the band’s name changed to The Brandi Thornton Band.
Carmichael is an owner of a concert production company called Hunter Blake Productions and works regularly with the Country Music Association and the American Music Association. He has run sound for artists ranging from Luke Bryan and Marty Stuart to Grand Funk Railroad and Emmy Lou Harris to Bella Fleck.
Thornton recently shared the stage will country artists, Martina McBride, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Jon Anderson.
“It’s a really good day to come hang out with family and friends and celebrate Independence Day. I have heard that Randy Owens puts on an incredible show and I am looking forward to seeing it,” Thornton said.
The concert will be mainly country music with a little bit of pop.
The concert starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks extravaganza. To get reserved seating for $20 plus the general admission fee, call (229) 219- 7080. Otherwise, regular admission is $45 for adults, $40 for children 3-9 years and senior citizens and free for children under the age of 2.
