About me: Hunter’s Paradise Lodge is committed to providing you, our guest, with not only an enjoyable hunt, but also an experience you will remember the rest of your life. To accomplish this, we have surrounded ourselves with the biggest names in the hunting industry. We, like our sponsors, want to be the industry leader in our respective fields. As the saying goes, “You are only as good as the company you keep”. We keep company with the best names in the business, so we can build off of their knowledge and experience.
The staff at Hunter’s Paradise Lodge was hand picked over a 20-year period, from the inception of this dream, to give you the experience of a lifetime that will keep you coming back time and time again. We strive to make you feel at home the minute you walk through our doors. A member of our friendly and personable staff will greet you. We will take the time to get to know who you are as we sit down to eat a home cooked meal together. (Don’t be afraid to ask for your favorite home made desert either, that is our cook’s specialty.) Our guides have over 170 years of proven experience in the duck-hunting field, and will help you in any way they can. We offer tips from pointers on dog handling to how to make a certain sound with a call and everything in between. We make even the hard days look easy.
Hunter’s Paradise Lodge is located in the true flyway of the Mississippi flyway. We have several different hunting situations such as layout blinds; wade in holes, walk-in blinds, and natural cover just to name a few. This is your hunt, you can do the calling, and your dogs are always welcome. According to a survey done by Ducks Unlimited from 1990-2000, 85% of all banded ducks harvested in Mississippi were harvested in Tallahatchie County.
Others may claim to be the duck capitol of the world, if this is so we are the “ Honey Hole”. While others claim to be a hunter’s paradise, we live it everyday.
PRCA Cowboy Chris Mason lowers his head in prayer at the start of the rodeo Bull riding event in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
There's a hundred years of history and a hundred before that All gathered in the thinkin' goin' on beneath his hat.
He's got Buffalo Bill Cody and the Jigger boss And all of the brave blue soldiers that General Custer lost The cold flame burns within him 'til his skin's as cold as ice And the dues he paid to get here are worth every sacrifice.
All the miles spent sleepy drivin', all the money down the drain All the "if I's" and the "nearly's", all the bandages and the pain All the female tears left dryin', all the fever and the fight Are just a small downpayment on the ride he makes tonight.
It's guts and love and glory-one mortal's chance at fame His legacy is rodeo and cowboy is his name.
