    He died physically, but his precious soul is still around and very much alive!

    Remembering Tawn Mastrey on her birthday...

    Tawn Mastrey, International rock radio legend known for decades, became a victim of Hepatitis C, (HCV), which took her early from us, devastating her family and millions of radio fans. Tawn and her sister Cara Mastrey, decided at that time, to create an organization that would change lives and help prevent further families from being destroyed by this insidious disease. Tawn contracted HCV accidently as a child and it remained undetected for over 30 years. Too late. HCV is currently at 500 million worldwide, and is scheduled to take in 1 billion more by 2015 (.gov).

    Tawn Mastrey aka “The Leather Nun” passed away on October 2nd, 2007 due to Hepatitis C. Tawn contracted the disease accidentally as a child and was undetected for over 30 years. Tawn said: “Rock Hard Live Long! Get Tested for HCV!”

    All my love and support to Cara Mastrey, the entire Mastrey family and all the warriors at Tawn Mastrey Foundation. R.I.P Tawn Mastrey, your beautiful soul is among all of us. Have a great birthday party in heaven!!!

    Hi there! How are you? We appreciate your friendship!
    ARTS Publications has created this MySpace site to keep Layne Staley's fans updated on the making of the Get Born Again movie. Actor to play Layne Staley's character is "Lathan McKay". A very special role has been designated to "Cara Mastrey" as Ghost Demri. "Elise Muller" as Liz Elmer. We can't reveal the entire cast now. Please be patient. We have selected a number of bands for the movie, they are: "INK" from Greece providing two soundtracks and singer Chris Tsantalis for a scene. "Motherwiser" from Buenos Aires, Argentina for one scene. "Khaos Theory" from Chicago, IL providing two soundtracks. Singer Aaron Barrera of Murder My Sweet a band from Austin, TX for a scene. This biopic is being made in a very independent way. We are fully determined to do it. We won't allow any brainwashed Hollywood clown to make fun of Layne's story or put him only in a "junkie" spotlight. We spent enough time trying to explain what the movie is about. It was all in vain. We have sadly learned that for Hollywood Layne Staley is another overdosed rock star. They don’t want to show him differently or should we say…they don’t want you to see the real side of the story. This is one of the main reasons why we have delayed the movie development process. Now, we have found the right people to work with. They like the story concept and fully respect our decisions. We assure fans the following: "RESPECT AND LOVE FOR LAYNE STALEY ARE OUR TOP PRIORITIES" Thank you all for your support. LONG LIVE LAYNE STALEY!
