Formulated in a structurally unsound garage, and being quickly deplaced by complaints to a local practice studio, three musicians of questionable social aptitude did what they had to do - practice. Practice and, occasionally, write more songs to practice. Inspired by a newfound multitude of bass sounds on a Zoom B2 effects pedal, Hunting for Melvin negotiated the precarious tightrope between Lucozade-fuelled high-energy music, enjoyment, and pure noise.
But soon the Lucozade ran dry; the energy with it. The enjoyment which, frankly, was just a side effect of the Lucozade, dwindled. The noise, however, stubbornly refused to go away. And through this mist of feedback and distortion, a fourth Melvin arrived. One who could sing. Quite well, in fact. And, he brought Lucozade.
So, the path was finally uncovered, and the journey began.
