Lexa - Join us in congratulating record producer Kim Copeland for her work on the Rachel Williams album, Lonely At The Bottom. Check this great review by R.K. Oermann with Music Row Magazine on Rachel's current single, The Only Thing Harder Than Leaving.
"She has the goods. This creeps up on you with cat’s paws. The languid pace, echoing instruments, spacious production and her hushed, aching delivery are all immensely seductive. The lyric of leaving home is full of terrific details. And her falsetto leaps in the bridge are like little daggers to the heart. A mini masterpiece. This, by the way, is the third single in a row that I have raved about from this performer. "
Hi Lexa! Thanks so much for telling me about the American Idol tryouts in Phoenix, but unfortunately I am not old enough! :/ Maybe next year I will try out! Thank you so much for the comment though, I really appreciate it. :)
Well for me it has been a very spiritual and uplifting experience. It's a long story but sometimes life dishes out some pretty tuff stuff. But If you can keep yourself and faith intact anyplace can be paradise.
Hey - I'm really delayed. So sorry. Songwriting is going well, but have been really busy lately so, unfortunately, it's taken a backseat to some other priorities.
back to the drawing board for a lot of us...lol I knew what he was going to say about mine...at this point I'm just having fun with it...I'm drained from all of it to be honest!!!! lol And I happen to like your song!!!!!!
Lexa...Congratulations on your first song. I've listened to "this is only the beginning" and i think you have great song writing potential...let your angels help guide your heart to the words that will inspire others, before you know it, your pen will flow so swiftly that you'll inspire the world...Blessings, Jeri Lyn xx
Hi Lexa...Nancy here from the American Idol forum. Thank you for inviting me into your musical world! Your song is lovely - and I'm so impressed to find out it's your first song! Good job - and keep going! Peace and love, Nancy
Wow, Lexa...just listened again. I can't believe this is your first full song. You did a great job girl. And trust me, I know how near impossible it can be to try and be a full time Mommy & pursue your music. Hard to write songs in the midst of chaos! lol
Good for you for being brave & going for it. All my best! Love & blessings, Stacy xo
