Influences
I'm influenced by my ghetto and the everyday struggles of life legal or not, I do what I do so that I can always keep a smile on my lil girl's face forever even if i'm not here to see it.
Born on a island were you'd have to use a magnifing glass to see it on the map, where the warm rays of the caribbean sun and it's beautiful white sandy beaches only shades the struggles i've encountered. Nights without a proper meal, hot pavement with out proper shoes, baths in the river, still I dream of my beautiful isle of spice Grenada as if i was there just yesterday. When infact it's been years since i've set foot on her rich soil, at age 25! 14 years of my life was spent on the mean streets of Toronto. Mainly talking about the crack infested, home for hookers, killa's, rapist and a few of society's worst we call it home aka Parkdale. I believe having a tough ethnic background only gave me the edge to survive in these streets, cause at a young age I should not have seen some of the things if witness, here I was introduce to hiphop and a way of expressing my thoughts. I promissed my mother that I wouldn't stoop low enough to sell drugs but instead stand as a man and slave as our ancestors have done in the past, but it only get's harder as I grow older so now I turn to my mic for refuge. Like the the winds that almost distroyed my country a few years back I call myself hurricane_Tws which i've abbreviated and it stands for thoroly well spoken.
