Hurt in a Church? WE'VE ALL BEEN HURT AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER, BUT LET US CONCENTRATE ON HEALING! THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS NOT FORSAKEN YOU, HE LOVES YOU DEARLY!!! Rev. 2:10-12 Posted at 5:40 PM Dec 22 view more
About me: If you've been hurt in a church or by "Christians", I have a message for you here, I too have been hurt but Salvation is more important than any hurt. Jesus was hurt also, but he chose to forgive.
FOR THOSE HURT BY THE CHURCH
The first thing to realize is that not all who claim to be Christians really are. A Christian is not just someone who says he is. A Christian should be like Christ, and follow His teaching of walking in love and integrity.
However, even true Christians make mistakes. Sometimes we are rude, or selfish. Sometimes we do wrong. The purpose of my page is for Christians to help Christians to be so full of Christ that they do what is right, not what is wrong. You see God does not take free will away even from true Christians.
You are not responsible for what others have done to you, your family or your people in Christ's name. But you ARE responsible for what YOU do, and your RESPONSES to what others do.
Have you lived up to the standards you expect from others? If not, be willing to forgive those who have hurt you, and keep an open heart and an open mind about the things of God.
Maybe you have used the wrongs of others as an excuse to reject Christ and do as you please. One day, however, you will stand alone before Almighty God and give account for your life which He gave you. Even your secret thoughts will be there for all to see. The only way to escape this and the condemnation that will follow is to get saved.
Life is not fair, and it wasn't meant to be easy. Some people have it much better in this life than others. There can be no doubt about that. But this life is only short. Although it matters a great deal what we do in this life, Eternity is more important!
Still, God wants to help you enjoy this life. Jesus said, "I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly." If people only knew what the reality of that was, many more would become Christians.
Sometimes it is hard to find people you can trust, especially after you have been betrayed a few times by friends or people you thought were. Maybe you have been through or are going through the pain of divorce. God does not condemn you for that.
Jesus certainly knows what betrayal and rejection is like. He experienced it on earth with Judas and lots of others. He still experiences the pain rejection today - mostly from His followers I'm sorry to say.
If you want someone to talk to, I will do my best to make time for you right now. You too are a special person, and God Himself loves you. Sometimes though, it is hard for us to see that love or believe in it. But it is real.
One of the great principles of Jesus is to forgive. If you refuse to forgive those who hurt you, you will suffer emotionally. It won't affect them half as much as it affects you. That's just the way it is. Bitterness can eat people up on the inside. It is something you'd be better off without.
You may feel unable to forgive, and maybe you are. That is a great reason to invite Jesus Christ into your world. Just call out His name with a sincere heart. You may have only used His name as a curse word until now. God can forgive you for that. The important thing is to let Christ into your world so that you can truly have a life that is life indeed! He can give lasting peace, happiness and truth to those who want it. But it is on His terms - not yours.
When you are ready to ask Christ into your world, you can pray a prayer like this:
Father God in Heaven, I come to you because I need your forgiveness. I have done wrong. I confess to you all my sins. Jesus...save me! Cleanse me! Forgive me! Thank you for dying on the cross to take away the guilt and evil in my life. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. From now on I receive you and confess you openly as my Lord, Master and Savior. Change me Jesus more and more each day to be like you. Be Lord of my spirit, mind, soul and body. Break the power of sin from my life.
As you forgive me, I now forgive all that have hurt me. I turn away from all evil. I renounce Satan and any areas of influence he has in me (name the areas you know about). In the name of Jesus Christ I command all evil power to leave me now.
I thank you Father that I am now a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ. I am born again. I am a new person. My sins are forgiven. I am part of the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ lives in me and through me. Thank you Father for the gift of eternal life!
In Jesus, Amen.

"An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christthe Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."-Luke 2:9-14
Just a short note to wish you a Merry Christmas and also to plant a small seed of hope that next year will be a better year for you than this year was.
Excitement and joy are filling the air; The lights add special decor. We're shopping for Christmas gifts everywhere, But are gifts what Christmas is for?
The wreaths and the trees and the parties Aren't what we need to convey; It's the birth of our Savior, Jesus, The real reason for this holiday.
