Born Devon Morris, Ya Boi Dee is the newest addition to the Hip Hop scene. Bringing a unique blend of East Coast and Southern Hip Hop, Dee experiments with his music in many different forms.
Born in Utica, New York, Dee was raised in an environment of the less fortunate only to see music as a way out. Listening to artists such as B.I.G., Tupac, Nas, and later on DMX, The LOX and, Jay-z, as well as a slew of R&B artists, gave Dee a unique taste in music that translates into his words.
Later on in 2001, Dee moved to the eastside of Atlanta. Home to artists such as Crime Mob, Gucci Mane, T.I., OutKast, Young Jeezy and multiple others, gave him an entirely new outlook on music in the south. This experience blended his unique northern wordplay with his more southern swagger and beat selection. Now influenced by a blend of East Coast, West Coast and Southern artists, Dee is ready to take on the world, one listener at a time.
