a chainsaw tearing your ears apart as someone screams in tune with backup vocals and a poppy chorus line. Someone slapping your head then rubbing it.
As a band the Hutt River Solution began gigging in the middle of 2006 August 13 to be exact. Since then, their brand of trashy bratty in your face rock n roll has impressed both punters and critics alike. They have been likened to classic punk rock bands such as the Stooges, the Saints, the Victims, the New York Dolls, and in a more modern context the Hives. But they are more than just a band, they are more than just a rock n roll explosion they are more than just a manic musical mauling of your senses. They are a solution! A solution you ask? Yes a solution. Their name comes from back in the seventies when a wheat farmer from a large farm in Hutt River WA decided to form his own country to get around some of the countrys importation laws. Since then Prince Leonard has created a province which has its own money, passport and flag. He was so fed up with the country that he formed his own. That was his solution to a country that forgot how to treat its citizens properly and we respected that stance so much we wanted to form an army to his revolution. We want you to be part of that rock n roll revolution, that rock n roll solution, be part of the Hutt River solution.

It's going to be a monster four band pile up on highway 666 as Vultures of Venus crash into the Birmingham on Thursday the 3rd of ..heir debut LP which is now available through I-Tunes has been receiving strong support and favorable reviews from local radio RRR, PBS and Syn Fm. It will also be available in hard copy on the night. This gig is gonna be fun, fun, fun on the Smith st autobahn. Armed with big rock riffs and blazing electrified keys this is the Vultures first show since their sellout LP Launch. This is a band with a plan; and that plan is to make you do the Can Can. Joining them on the night is Mirrorhouse Antics whos live show is a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and The Stooges. They have just released their debut album, recorded at Bakehouse by Mikey from Eddie Current Suppression Ring. Dan Webb's 60's styled Hammond infused insanity is gonna be something to look out for as well as the 'Wise Flys' : they'll make you laugh they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh about crying. And don't forget to look out for the crazy clown pinyada filled with burning flesh and give away fun toys for the kids. This is a B.Y.O "leotard friendly event ". So pour yourself into your favorite and come on down !!!
