Fe ddechreuodd Huw M berfformio fel artist unigol, fel ‘band un person’, mewn gigs a nosweithiau open mic yn ne Cymru. Yna yng Ngorffennaf 2008 gafodd ei sengl cyntaf ei ryddhau – a hynny ar y cyd gyda’i gyfaill Llwyd. Gafodd y sengl ei ddarlledu ar orsaf radio BBC 6 Music ar raglen Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone, a ddisgrifiodd y gân fel “a stunningly beautiful piece of music”.

O ganlyniad i’r sengl gafodd Huw y cyfle i berfformio mewn gigs ar draws Cymru ac fe aeth ati i ryddhau ail sengl gyda Llwyd gafodd ei lansio yn Ngŵyl SŴN yng Nghaerdydd yn Nhachwedd 2008. Yn fuan wedi hynny, aeth Huw ati i recordio ei albym unigol gyntaf, Os Mewn Sŵn, sydd newydd ei ryddhau yng ngwanwyn 2009.

Huw M began to perform in gigs as a 'one person band' in South Wales before releasing his first single as a joint venture with artist Llwyd in July 2008. The single was broadcast on BBC 6 Music on Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone, who described the song as a “stunningly beautiful piece of music”.

The single release was promptly followed by more live performances, and Huw and Llwyd recorded a second single which was launched in the SŴN festival in Cardiff in November 2008. Shortly after, Huw started to record his first solo album, Os Mewn Sŵn (translated as 'If in Noise'), which has just been released in the spring of 2009.
