We have been played on Radio 1 by Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, been played on 6music by Tom Robinson and were played on a French radio station once... maybe we should have a cliche biography saying how we are 'the future of rock' or that we have 'an energetic live show'? We once 'shared a stage' for a few gigs with a band called 'Jealous Again', they are great, you should check them out. Below is what some other people have said about us. Perhaps you should just listen to us and make up your own mind. We have a free
mp3 on our website to put on your
mp3 player to help you make up your own mind. Would be great if you could come see us play at a show, put us on a show or buy our stuff. That kind of stuff really does make the difference for us. Thanks for taking the time to check us out, feel free to get in touch about anything. x HYHI
"Coming from the same, ultra-creative, brilliantly DIY, South East scene as Meet Me In St Louis, their recent EP, 'Everyone Runs Faster With A Knife', and forthcoming double a-side single, 'Lost The Magic'/'Broken Sound', are filled with the same explosive energy and excitement as the much-missed St Louis boys early demo recordings. With a slight nod towards an American 90's indie influence in the vocals, these are definitely one of my new favourite bands and they should be yours too."
Kevin Douch of Big Scary Monsters Recording Company.
"Speaky ‘Art Brut’-esque bits. Rough, sloppy arrogance in the vein of ‘Shooting At Unarmed Men’. Dark, quick-paced riffs that would sound at home with ‘yourcodenameis:milo’and the edge that Biffy Clyro had back before they became everyone’s favourite band – and you have Hold Your Horse Is."
Stephen McLeod of Artrocker.
"Two promising DIY tracks from this young English band with a jagged, quirky, post-hardcore edge. The basis of their sound seems to draw on the history of post-hardcore taking in the fuzzy 90s American sound heard from Jawbox and the very British melodic heaviness of naughties bands like Million Dead, then they add an extra layer of quirky, jagged guitar so that we end up somewhere between Minus The Bear, Million Dead and These Arms Are Snakes. Both tracks are really solid; ‘Lost The Magic’ chugs in with immediately heavy beats and off kilter guitars but also has a great melody and ‘Broken Sound’ turns the awkward rhythm of the beginning into the base for a super catchy but nicely thunderous tune. Two cracking tunes, hopefully we’ll be hearing more from this lot very soon." 11/13
