Hmmmm.... About Me, well...
My name is Yvonne Pierre; I am a very proud mom of two boys Zyair who is now 16-years-young and Zyon who is 7-years-young. Zyon diagnosed with Down syndrome (T21) after birth, has been a huge force behind all I do here on Myspace and abroad. Asside from motherhood, I've faced many challenges and obstacles in my life from sexually abused during my younger years from age five through around 10-years-young to struggles with reading during my childhood. During my teen years, I battled with self-confidence, weight, alcohol abuse, and acceptance, which lead me to a road of destruction and any mother’s nightmare.
For a longtime, I was a victim, I assumed. After various wake-up calls and hard lessons, around 20-years-old, I started to view obstacles as opportunities to learn and grow. For instance, I graduated from an alternative school and faced challenges with going to college once I decided I wanted more. I had realized that I brought that specific challenge on myself because of the poor choices I made when I was a “victim.” I realized that the lack of education was the root to many of my problems. Although it was very hard due to graduating from high school not with very little reading and vocabulary skills, I graduated with a dual degree in Accounting and Business Management.
I am a proud mom of 2 (one w/DS T21), MBA student, parent-advocate, on-air personality/producer, and an aspiring author & filmmaker.
It was and still not easy, but the difference in which I am now and was then is now I know I am not a victim. Many things that happened to me I had no control over; however, I am accountable for welcoming some of obstacles into my life because of my (at that time) victim mentality. My mission is to spread positive awareness, seek solutions, and empower others special needs parents and abroad through various current and future projects.

READ: Joshua 1:1-9
As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. —Joshua 1:5
Giants hold a special place in our lore—both historical and literary. From the real giant Goliath to the fictional giant of Jack and the Beanstalk fame, we are fascinated by these larger-than-life characters.
Sometimes we use the word giant to honor ordinary-size people who have done extraordinary things. One example is the 17th-century physicist Sir Isaac Newton. A committed Christian, he credited his success to other “giants” who had gone before. “
There is a destiny that makes us brothers:
None goes his way alone;
All that we send into the lives of others
Comes back into our own. —Markham
A good example is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way

READ: Luke 10:30-37
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion. —Psalm 111:4
Isn’t anybody going to help that poor guy?” Fred exclaimed as he and my husband, Tom, realized what had been causing traffic to creep down the busy five-lane road. A man lay sprawled between the lanes, bicycle on top of him, as vehicles simply drove around him. Fred turned on the warning flashers and blocked traffic with his car. Then both guys jumped out to help the shaken man.
When we share another’s burden,
We display God’s love and care,
Offering relief and comfort
When life seems too much to bear. —Sper

Have a beautiful week!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Many of you, my dear friends, have asked me how JJ is doing. I'm caring for him like a sick child nearly 24 hours a day. I don't get much sleep (I'm not complaining) these days so I often forget to get back to you as I have limited computer time as well. It's not that I don't read your messages or think about what wonderful friends God has blessed me with. I truly enjoy hearing from you and love getting messages, comments and emails. I do want you to know that if I don't reply right away I will as soon as I get a chance. I love each of you dearly and thank you so much for everything.
We need many, many prayers for JJ. Prayers were answered for Winston (and continue to be) and without you I don't know if he'd be here with us today.
I have put up a web page on Winston's site for JJ. This will make it easier if you would like to check in on JJ. I will continue to update this page. I invite you to visit it as well as our regular updates page. Here is the link:

Thank you so much for caring. Your friendship means the world to me.
Many Hugs and Blessings,
Sharon, Nathan & the Bulldogs (Winston, Gracie & JJ)
